Hi, 5 days for drying and 6 for curing?

what you think

thanks
It really depends on the temperature, humidity and air flow for drying. I usually go about a week in drying.

for curing, 6 days is hardly sounds like a good cure. I might start smoking something with a week cure if I don't have any, but it gets much better after 2 or 3 weeks of curing. :bigjoint:

To get a good cure at least two weeks. drying should take about 5 days (depending on RH and other environmental factors). I usually cure mine for about a month.

help with the hay smell while drying

so drying some buds, and after a couple days they are half dry and all smell like shitty hay.

so put em in the cure jar and they got some of the moisture back in the buds, but still smell like shitty hay

how/when will the hay smell disappear after initial drying?

To be fair mate, the hay smell probably wont go,Ive had hay smelling green before and from my experience its when ive used cfls and/or had to harvest early.I think im gonna have to answer a question by asking one,,are you using cfls and did you harvest early?? When I had my hay weed no matter how long I cured for the smell didnt get better,it didnt get worse either it just smelt of nothing.I still use cfls from time to time and have had great smelling weed I think its strain dependent,,,You can get your green to adopt other scents by flavour curing its pretty easy and you can start it straight away here is a link to an old thread I made about it..Hope I could help.

ya its some pre harvest lollipops. they smelled dank till they dried out. now the hay smell wont leave. so curing only works if the plant is ripe?

You can still go ahead and cure,it will make it alot nicer to smoke, but yes,,riper is better..

dank dank smell-wise, can this only occur if the plant is fully bloomed? impossible to smell good if plucked early? (this is actually something handy for the world to know. im sure early harvesting is a common issue)

veterans have u ever plucked a couple weeks early and still had a nice smelling product? how, why, ect.. ; )

ps
baking the orange peel is a good idea REPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
but wanna try for a legit awesome taste this time with no gimics, but gonna use that floro pineapple flavor next run boy howdy.

Dont get me wrong,im sure there are srtrains out there that smell great straight from the start right through veg untill you chop, ive had strains that ive not cured and are still very smelly.Im sure that alot of the weed you buy on the streets hasnt been cured because these commercial growers havnt got the time and are not really that bothered and just want the cash, and alot of that weed still smells great.

I would never use anything other than weed to cure ...

But my buds are dank and they don't need any extra flavor.. Pre-98 Bubba Kush

As for plucking early. I just harvested 8 Bubbas, I took 2 down early as I was running low on smoke and to make more room in my grow box.

Dried for a week, cured for a week -> it's dank :bigjoint:

It's all in the cure, if you have good genetics. :joint::peace:

I am getting in to growing just, knock you dick in the dirt Indicas. I have a big smell problem, even with 2 carbon scrubbers and lots of ONA, etc.

But, I'm in kalifornica, have a medical recommendation, so I don't care how bad it smells.

I open my jar, asked my buddies if they want to smell it, and they say ...

We can already smell it from over here. :leaf:

Chow, couldnt you just use a peeler and get comparable sized strips of the zest of the lemon and skin of the orange and then bake them and then cheesecloth em? Good idea tho
