New leaves on babes are yellow at tips. and have brown spots on bigger lower leaves

Have followed advice here, THANKS guys, and the BIG BANG feminised seeds from the local grow shop, are now 5 weeks and 3 days old from seed and on 18/6 cycle for over a week after starting on 24/24 -changed to 18/6 after your good advice.

Temp. of small room is at 32C during light cycle and down to 22C when I wake them up after dark. Humidity 65 during light cycle but quite high during dark, up to 100.

In the right soil - bio-bizz from grow shop - re-potted to this last Thurs. after seeing advice on using cheap compost - thought they would be flourishing by now!

Not over-watering now - left them for 5 days after re-potting to good compost before watering - not adding nutes as many here advise against this

Watered today (this morning) with filtered water from filter jug, ph 6.5

Under hps 400w 16" (40cm) from tops of plants
They all look a bit pale as well - got 6 on the go

DILEMA:confused: - Do I change watering schedule? add nutes - theres a lot of differing opinion here - anyhow take a look at the photos and I will await your wisdom, rita

could be either PH ( which i think it is ) of the water your using...

Nute burn.. ( kinda doubt if your just using soil.. no food) dont add nutes yet.. thier tooooo young.

or heat stress, this one is tricky...

But put your ph to 6.2-6.5.. plants cant grow if your tap or whatever water you use is above 7.0....

Goodluck!

PS, if you have been using regular tap water, ph it.. see what it is.. if its really high.. flush out the soil with PH'ed 7.0 water.. and then the next watering, water with 6.5 PH water.. and you will see great results in maybe 1-3 days.. (i had a ph problem.. )

I wouldn't use tap water. Use water that doesn't have clorine in it.Distilled or reverse osmosis.

Thanks for the quick replies - this sure is tricky - filtering the tap water through a jug device that filters out the chlorine and other crap like copper etc. and tested this - ph is right at 6.5 - dont even drink it here until its filtered as it runs straight off the Andalucian mountains here in Spain and is full of calcium and minerals etc. - would this affect the babes?
Not fed them for over a week and will lay off until I can see some improvement (I think I over-fed them before)
Might try raising the light? but dont want them to stretch ............ I havent got a fan on babes - but moving them to a new grow room with plenty of space and extraction system (laying out a lot of money now and these little buggers!) -
From the replies dont think its the ph - scared off nutes now until floration and have bought some special stuff for that. Thanks again lads, any other ideas most welcome - rita

Think it must have been nute burn, really thinking about it - would you flush if they were yours? and if I do will this set them back as they arent very big for 5 week/ 4day grow.
How often do you guys water yours and how much is recommended - I have heard 200ml every 2-3 days, but my spanish advisor from the grow shop said every 5-6 days - and water them when they wilt.
Whats best for Big Bang in big pots..............first time ive grown big bang so not sure. Was tempted by the TCH content being good so want these babes to bud - rita

I wouldn't wait till they wilt but the top of your soil sould be dry, push your finger into the soil to test it.

yes i water my big bang every 2 days, or 3 if i can get away with it, but my plants under the flos, i water every 5 to 6 days.
just depends how hot it gets, but dont water, till the soil is dry to toutch.
also try to use rain water, collect it in a bin or somthing, or just let normal tap water stand a day or 2.

Could be a Magnesium or Calcium def. Look over the Plant Abuse chart in the growfaq. Maybe look into some Epsom salt waterings.

Yes Big Bang feminised, from greenhouse seeds. They are under hps one 400w light (see my first posting for help) and Im hoping to clone some of these - thinking of watering every 2 days with 200ml of water, just a little bit -filter the water into a 5 litre bottle and it stands for 2-3 days before using - thanks so much for your advice, it reassures me im on the right track - rita

yes 'crazy-mental' babes still in veg and will take on your advice re: hermy tendancies of big bang -will look out for any change to males type growth- its first time ive grown this type - not feeding as re-potted in decent soil 'bio-bizz' just a week ago so they should have plenty of food - wondering whether they have had too much and whether to flush? or will this over-water them and create new probs? dilema again
The problem out here in Spain is we only have 2 months of rain, so any water collected goes rank in the heat and attracts mosquitos, so we filter the mineral rich tap water, let it stand for 2-3 days and then use this - the temp. at the moment here is mid 60sF - thanks for your diagnosis and interest - rita
