Well learning the science behind it will definetly make you a better/ more efficient grower so I'd recommend it. Here's the real answer you can use a dome, or you can not use a dome. Your going to get a million answers as people will have had success both ways. The key is the environment. People having success with and without domes are creating similiar environments still. Room conditions and methods will vary which in turn will have an impact on what you need to do to keep them happy. Do a little research on the proper environment to put your clones in, and then do what you need to do to try and replicate those conditions. Forget about it as a "dome" it's simply a tool to achieve those right conditions whether it be humidity temperature ect.

Example if 75% humidity and 70 degrees is required, if it's already that without the dome leave it off. If humidity is low put it on, if humidity goes up too much poke some holes until you get the environment where you need it.

Yea I wish I could be more help as I get my clones already rooted. But think of everything simply as a tool, and a tool that may need to be modified. If we were all in a control lab it would be easier to give advice. So I'm not sure what the proper "environment is" but I know
My guy dips them in some solution and puts them in floating trays of water that wick up with a dome on it. His dome does have some holes to allow some airflow. He has cloning machines but said finds this to be more successful. Just figure out what the environment needs to be and use your tools to make it.

ive never used a dome on an aero cloner... theres really no need unless your room humidity is extreeemely low!

trying a couple methods... cloning isn't typically this difficult so I think we need to start at the beginning

lets look at the mother/donor and see what her health is and what her environmental conditions are.. tell me about the mother..is she in soil? what are you feeding her?

what pest management protocals you have set in place regarding mildew, mold ect.

Yes she's making me rather worried about becoming self sufficient and taking this up in the future lol.

i haven't used a dome in years, the cutting/rooting process is dead simple, you're mimicking what happens in nature when a shoot gets broken off and lands in mud. Break stick, poke in mud lol

Looks like ambiant humidity, I would foliar feed with rapid start and liquid karma (or maxicrip liquid seaweed) and a drop of dish soap. That should perk them up in about 2 sprays over 24/hours.
You should consider clip your leaf tips on clones to reduce wilting.
Check pH is 5.0-5.5 and ppms are 600>300

I have the same cloner. I find that on day 7 if I change the nuts out or pH roots will pop out on day 9.

To reflect off of satori, the more foliage you have on your clone the quicker it needs to form a root system, and the more foliage the more root system it will require to sustain itself.

However you forget that some people live in areas that are more humid (Pacific Northwest), and DC like me, and other live in places like Arizona where there is zero humidity. Also it deeply depends on how air is in the room. If she keeps it at 65*F then the humidity level of the room would require a dome. I find that I have this issue during the winter even though DC is a humid ass swamp.

aeor cloners don't require humidity domes unless you live in arizina and the humidity is 20%

the humidity with in the box is always 100%

I would spray my cloes with anything

espescially with the problmes your having

I thiunk you donor plant is infected with mold and likely not healthy..we need to get the mother healthy !

ok I will go get a pic of my momma. I give her bat poo and use the water from my wish tank whenever I clean it as a extra bonus. I will go get a pic of her, she is on her last clipping tho, I am going to bud her in my next cycle

what type soil?

a mix of organic manure, 707 and pearlite.

ya got me there, i usually add that dry climate disclaimer. It's an armpit where i am in the southeast, i know your pain lol
