O ya i forgot to mention i got that wood for free so now my total cost into my grow is up to $360
$100 for soil
$100 clones
$60 seeds

still have left over nutrients that ive been using but will be going to the grow shop to pick up a 5gal bucket of Maxsea soon. that will probably cost me another $100.

but still theres no way i will be even touching $600 for total cost into my grow by the time i harvest. So keep looking in because this is how you grow big girls on a low cost and good resources!

the newly built ones 26"x26".... last year i built 24"x24" and felt that the extra couple inches wouldnt hurt non lol but hey last years boxes still produced well!
SN850451.jpg (this plant ended up producing 2 3/4lbs dried)

Im gunna reuse the 6 boxes i used last year with the additional 12 more that im building now

i like to use weed barrier. i just cut it 8 feet and staple the ends together. a few bamboo steaks and zip ties. i leave the steaks extra long 6ft or so. great for suport.

is this pretty much a dyi version of the smart pot? cuz those are like the same material as weed barrier stuff...

yes. home made smart pots.. i like them better then the pots or wooden raised beds. i have tried both. only one time and i did get more bud maybe 3 ounces. witch isnt alot when your getting 2+ a plant. it could of been anthing. not enough of a yeild change to say there def better. they do take more water tho. and there hard to over water.

The boxes are open. but i do put a 1/2" mesh screen under it so that gophers dont get to my roots. other than that yes they are open to the ground
