I have been getting really paranoid and anxoius lately when smoking alone and with others. Its like

suddenly i am paranoid at the start, then it fades away,,, then it comes back,,, and fades away,,,, wtf?


Is this normal? o_O

It can be man.. try smoking some heavier indicas if you have the option... I only grow landrace sat's and while I do love them, too much can bring about paranoia or panic attacks. Too much too often and I'll start to feel a bit schizo or delusional usually with feelings of grandeur but yea sometimes the mind needs a break from high thc content bud. But I also love dissociatives and other drugs most seem to not prefer so maybe I'm just already weird/messed up without the weed. . But really try some lower thc or higher cbd strains both should help and no they aren't the same thing if they seem like it

Yeah dude, its messed up!, im freaking out in one second and silint other... I think its because i am smoking to much and doing to little, haveng had a job or school in 2 years... I have been lousy.. Im 20 now, turning 21.. I think i need to stop smoking and get a job and such and then smoke moderate.


But i feel schizo,,, sometimes its messed up... Is this normal? is it dangerous? I know im just high, i have been smoking for 2 years now and the 1 year it wasent like this I am just really silent and lonely IRL

its normal for certain individuals, usually with a pre existing condition like anxiety ,depression or bipolar, you also have a higher chance if you are under the age of 16 before u start to smoke cannabis everyday. and it could be skitz developing .

cannabis should be treated like anyother drug, it does have side effects, bad ones too. but the thing with cannabis is it usually takes heavy years of use and can be abused alot longer without as bad of effects.




have had alot of expirience with mental illness.
cut down the dosings. take a long break too , i find that it will bring down the paranoia/panic when u get high.


and btw. parranoia and panic wasnt there at the beginning of my marijuana smoking career, it has developed from years of cannabis use.

and also heavy indicas still induce panic and paranioa, and after a while it starts happening when you are not high. it becomes part of every day life.

take a break. and also remember its all in your head. your thoughts can induce physical discomfort, my heart can race SEVERAL times faster then normal when i get panic, as well as i start to get this weird b.o smell, i also feel depersonalized . it wasn't until i actually trained myself to believe it doesn't matter,that the problems slowly diminish but are still there.

You can always have a few beers on weekends, but you said it yourself you are stuck.

Get Off The Couch, don't smoke and if you feel a little high strung, anxious etc.

Remember, Sit up or stand straight and breathe in Calmly thru your nose.

Keep you mouth closed and younger against the roof of your mouth.

keep one word in your head, for me it is "calm" .

my BP drops like 10 points when I practice that exercise for 5 minutes and retest.

It is a precursor to meditation.

I do have first hand knowledge of what a panic attack is as well as clinical depression, meditation is better than any drug.

just think you can get "peace of Mind" from meditation.

you have no negative feelings in this state of mind.

Yep, it happens and can happen to some people.
My opinion, it is not for you anymore. Quit or quit for a while.
You don't need it.
That's my opinion.

Ahh mate, we smoke pot for the enjoyment. Being paranoid & anxious doesn't sound fun.

I was a real little pot & acid-head at 15. I've never forgotten the words of an 'old' hippie at that time - "Use pot, don't let pot use you". Sounds like you need a break.

While scouring & drooling over the seed catalogs, I've noticed certain strains that alleviate anxiety. Probably indicas.

Much has been said about hydro-pot induced mental illness. Until hydroponics I'd never heard of pot induced mental illness.
The reason why I restarted to grow my own was I had noticed that a lot of commercial street pot made me paranoid, homegrown bush-bud didn't. That's why I'm growing in pots as cleanly as I can. Illicit commercial growers 1st consideration is profit, the state of our lungs & general health is not a priority. My pot is delicious & makes me feel great & deals with my pain :) Are you smoking clean homegrown or illicit commercial that's been over sprayed with god-knows-what?

A mates 23yo son medicates for ADD with marijuana, he's an arsehole without it. Just a gram a day. He noticed a huge difference smoking bush-bud for a month -clearer head, waking up fresh, more alert, better concentration - than smoking his normal street hydro with the chemical taste.

Yes. Get a job. Smoke after work in moderation. Grow & smoke indicas that have a couchlock affect. Happy days :)

Ya sounds like taking a break and clearing your head is good advice. 2 years is a long time. Been there done that. The longer you're not working the harder it is to motivate yourself to get one. Take a good look at WHAT it is you WANT to do for work. Go back to school. Or apprentice doing something you enjoy. Because doing a job you hate is a waste of your life. What kind of support system do you have around you. Parents, siblings etc. Get some counseling on a career direction. YOU ARE YOUNG so make yourself proud, dust yourself off.

IMO most of the time the smoke isn't the cause of a bad exp but amplifying something that needs to be addressed when your not high :p. Bud will only make you forget those stresses and problems that are small enough to mask is how I look at it, don't run from them confront them with a clear head and your next smoke will be a good one :).

Smoke an indica strain! Personally I like being more alert when I'm high but if you want a super relaxed high go with an indica. Get that kush!

Your body goes through changes as you age. When I was 18-25 I could smoke the strongest hash our BHO and never feel paranoid or anxiety. Then one day when I was 26 I had a massive panic attack that changed my life forever. I'm 30 now I stopped smoking for 26 months. During this cessation from MJ I started drinking a lot of alcohol (beer) 12 pack everyday. Well I quit drinking and I'm back to smoking MJ. What I find works for me is I only hit the pipe once a small hit. Sometimes I do a bong load and feel that anxiousness that makes me wanna run for the hills. Just take a tiny hit. Plus lay off the caffeine stuff while you nerves settle

That's generally the age most develop a genetic/predisposed mental illness
Smoking as a young adult or teen will bring up these latent disorders..so will other psychoactive drugs

Definitely not a normal change as you proceed into adulthood

ive allways sufferd from severe paranioa , even before i started smoking weed at about 13 -14 years old , im now in my early 30s , i kind of like the paranioa it keeps me thinki1ng and on my feet even though my thoughts are negative , its hard to explain but weed makes me look at things i normally wouldnt care about without the herb , for example me and a buddy smoke every night at work , i drive him mad because i cant just sit and chill and smoke the joint , im on my feet checking every angle someone could bust us from , he hates it , yet ........ive saved our asses 50 + times , we really would not have this job now if i hadnt of been my paranoid self .
it kind of makes me see things that other people cant see , i could tell my brother was being bullied at school when everyone around him thought he was an asshole , little things like that , its not allways pleasent being a paranoid dude but ive lived with it all my life .

having terrible anxiety myself, i really cant and dont smoke pot. sure wish i could though. Did it from 13-17 really heavy (all day everyday) and had to quit cold turkey because of my anxiety. Obviously you have some other issues you are not dealing with. and if your 20 not doing anything then maybe those around you are enabling you. Everyone needs to either be going to school or working or Both. truth that's just normal life. IMO so dont everyone freak out.
