hello, I had some guano tea brewing, for 3 days, and i noticed the air pump stoped working (i did bump it a couple minutes before) so thinking it stop bubbleing for a max of 5 miniutes, I dumped the tea into my soil (chocolope, 10-12 gallon promix BX) than i nocted the HORRIBLE smell, and than relized that My air pump wasn't pumping for longer than that, it must of been down for a couple days (the smell was bad).

so now what should i do to fix this probelm? I did dump some freah earthworm casting tea on it right after wards to try to get GOOD bacteria in there too.

what to do?
1. flush the soil

2. just feed a good tea

3 . dig the plant up and repot?

I am think off just going with #2. but just wanted to get your opinion.

You shouldn't have put the bad tea on the plants...A tea made of guano is going to smell terrible either way though, but a bad tea has a even super super more terrible reek to it...I mean just bad, and sort of alcohol-y

There's debate a lot of people saying anaerobic teas are beneficial in their own ways when compared to aerobic teas. I'm guessing you'll be fine and your weed will taste great regardless. Just make sure future teas are perfect. Its my understanding that you cannot burn plants with organic teas.

let the soil dry out dont add any more water you want the water you added to be used and the bad microbes you introduced to die.

no need to damage the plant it will survive just let that soil get pretty dry before you water again.

I've been lazy before and have dumped "bad" tea into an outdoor plot. That plot continued to thrive.

You can burn with organic compost tea?? Thats good news i guess if its true.

How can you tell if your tea is doing good? cuz i never see any good or bad when i apply my teas.

The only way to know whether your tea is good or not is to look at it under the microscope. The foam doesnt mean you have a successful herd of microbes.

One way to know your tea is good without a microscope is to know enough about compost tea to simply trust yourself. Using activated EM (effective microorganism) is a good way to start. If you are in Canada I would recommend gardenerspantry.ca

not true. you can tell if microbes are growing and you differentiate between good aerobic bacteria and anaerobic, you are somewhat right as you will not know how much good bacteria you have growing, but if it smells like bread or sweet you are brewing some of the good microbes, foam is not a definite sign, but its a pretty good indicator of its time to use it now or never.

What is average brewing time? i brewed once for more than 2 weeks , It still smelled sweet until i stirred up the noxious gasses on the bottom then it smelled a little bad, but stil not to bad. I used it and one my plants leaves started to cup and the leaf spines were all pointing up .

2 weeks is way too long to brew. 24-48 hour brew for best results, then use it all right then and there, don't leave any for the next watering.

well i also let you guys in on another trick add some molasses and water every day it will keep it going longer if you dont plan on using it within 24 hours after brew time.

well if a tea is working your plants should be lush and green and you should be seeing rapid growth.

a tea can be in a container for weeks it really just depends on the growth rate of the microbes. but if your getting proper microbe growth it should make the water in the anaerobic within a few days. but so long as some fresh water and mollassis is added daily a tea can go for a couple weeks.

anaerobic tea is not the worst thing to use but in over abundance the bad microbes from it can rot your roots, just got to be careful, i too have used a bad tea or 2 but i have also seen what happens when it goes wrong and the plant basically rots from below.
