Hello all, a total of two indoor and one huge outdoor grow under my belt but took a hiatus from growing for almost two years. I had so much bud from the outdoor grow that it took me over a year to smoke it all. I smoke on average about three to four times per week, mostly on weekends and when I can veg and do not have any responsibilities. I took a job last year which hair follicle tested, so needless to say I didn't smoke for awhile, almost a full year. Then the job didn't work out, so I couldn't wait to taste my own herb again! Here is the timeline for current grow:

Mid Feb - Germinated some bagseed from random seeds that I have kept over the years, always from good herb. Started them on 18/6 but only until the first set of 5 bladed fan leaves then went 12/12. I have two confirmed females. They are in two gallon pots and they are around eight to twelve inches tall now. They are in FFOF soil and I just gave them nutrients on their last watering, which was two days ago. They have been budding for about a week now, it is Mar 30th. My carbon filter and fan are about to be setup for smell control and heat dissapation. If you touch the leaves and smell your hand, it smells of pineapple or mango, both plants have this smell. They look very similar in structure but the smaller of the two had slightly fatter fan leaves at birth so who knows. I love growing random seeds, it always is a challenge since you don't know the genetics. I have pics to follow later today of my setup and the early bud growth. Peace!!

By the way, a friend gave me some seeds he saved over the years too. He is an older gentleman and he said he brought home seeds when he finished his tour in Vietnam, they are mixed in with the twenty or so seeds he gave me. So far in my grows I have had only one huge sativa that I grew outdoor, whether this was the Vietnamese strain or not I do not know, but it did not finish due to weather constrictions. Hopefully one of these seeds will germ for me, they are over 44 years old so who knows if they will. I did have some seeds not germinate so maybe those were the Vietnamese seeds, makes it fun and interesting to see if I will wind up with a sativa dominant plant ever again. Again, will post pics later, Peace!!

Two confirmed females from random bagseed. Plant in the rear is more compact, has purple stems on fan leaves. Plant in front stretched a little bit due to trying to get both the same height. 500 total watts of CFL's, mixed spectrum, about six lights are 6500k, the rest 2700k. Two biggest bulbs are 62 watters, the rest are 42 watters and 27watters. Plants are surrounded by cfl's, side lighting and top, all lights are DIY and so is the top reflector. Plants are relatively healthy, temps are around 80 farenheit lights on, 60 lights off. There is a smaller plant just started in a 2 liter bottle, 12/12 from seed, haven't confirmed sex yet, we shall see. The plant in rear started budding first around a week and a half ago, the front or stretched plant just confirmed hairs last week, she is a slow mover. Both budding plants just got their first dose of nutes, miracle grow flowering booster, at full strength, three days ago. They really needed some nutes but they are in FFOF soil, so I waited, and they love it. I have used miracle grow before for outdoor grows and it works fine, so does schultz plant food. You just need to use it sparingly, I use it every third watering, and never have burned plants. I ran out of Advanced Nutrients Big Bud last grow, so will need to purchase some soon. I keep the nutes light, keep it simple and I always wind up with good smoke from the bagseed. I plan to order some seeds for next grow, we shall see. I would really like to grow a true sativa with LST or scrog. Anyway, here they are, will update with pics as the buds get bigger. Peace!

awesome CFL light setup. lol i couldn't build anything like that. my first grow, my friend built a good reflector out of a piece of sheet metal that was bent just enough to reflect light, and then ziptied some powerstrips onto it with some large CFLs. i would say my light setup skills are ghetto at best. anyway ur girls are coming along nicely. good luck on gettin all feemz!

Thanks man. I have grown with cfl's indoor twice before, one plant at a time. Did a huge outdoor in 2010. I am going to try and do a perpetual grow with cfl's, 12/12 from seed, in 2 liter bottles after these two ladies finish. That way I get continuous smoke, small amounts but much care and love to them for better quality! Will post more pics tomorrow, currently lights out!

Here they are, budding since Mar 30th, two bigger plants that is. One is sativa dominant, the other is nice and frosty. They are relatively healthy, may have had slightly too much water in the beginning, FFOF soil, no nutes until last week, added yield up 9-47-9, it's a cheap alternative to advanced nutrients big bud. Yield up is made in BC Canada, forget the manufacturer, but the guy at the shop recommended it since they were out of Big Bud from advanced nutrients. Anyway, inline fan and carbon filter are awesome, got them from HTG supply as a combo, with speed controller. I only have to set it half speed to keep the temps around 80 farenheit, RH around 60%, it's a 3x3x5 space, pretty small. Any comments appreciated. A few leaves have the claw due to possibly too much nitrogen in the beginning or too much water. Anyway, they are getting frosty. The two smaller plants are 12/12 from seed also, they are in 2 liter bottles, stole the idea from the 12/12 from seed thread. Peace!!

Waiting for my loupe to arrive, using my focus on camera it appears most trichs are cloudy throughout. This is a bagseed 12/12 from seed with, yeah boy, CFL's and a 2 gallon pot. She is about twelve to fourteen inches tall, pretty lady. Miracle grow nutes one time and then a flower booster made in BC (forget the name, stoned, lol). Anyhoo, she started budding technically around the second or third week of March.

My much smaller lady in a 2 liter bottle got nute burned, LOL, but she is a purp pheno bagseed. I flushed her twice but her fan leaves are still dying, maybe she doesn't like the 2 liter bottle?? She has hairy ass little buds though.

Who knows, my main baby is gonna be some nice smoke. She smells of coffee and choclate, yum. Peace out, will let you know when my loupe arrives if she be ready, tell me what you think of the nicer of the two plants!!

Little delay in uploading pics, but here she is on chop day. My 40x loupe showed all trichs cloudy and very few amber, just how I like it. She was a bagseed beauty, stinky as hell, frosty as hell. She smells of coffee and licorice? Weird combo but buds look nice. Will submit smoke report once buds are cured. I quick dried a tiny bud and it tasted very good, earthy tones, strong head buzz at first then a body stone sets in, very dreamy/sleepy towards the end of buzz. Very nice bagseed!!View attachment 2657033View attachment 2657033
