i have been having to listion to my balask at night when i sleep cause its on some times.

well i have mostly noticed it has a steady hum of the same pitch.

well recently i have also noticed the hum change in pitch just a lil so i was wondering if its normal or if somthings wrong.

i also have a timer on it and i was thinking maybe its that the timer isnt able to handle the power coming from the light to the socket.

once i even notice that a blue spark came out the timer when i unpluged it. and i know thats a big dangerious

Its ballast and you have to make sure you buy a timer that is rated for the amount of amps your ballast will draw inorder for it to be safe and not melt or catch fire..If its a magnetic ballast the sound will change over time as the parts get older.make sure your timer is set to off then plug it into the outlet then plug you lights in.Its easier on your bulbs, timer, and ballast
