I use a clone bucket and the first couple times I used it the clones rooted in about 12 daZe.. but the last couple t8med...like NOW it has been 3 weeks tomorrow and still no roots..plants are very healthy looking ..same strains for the most part

question.. is that a common thing
what is your average clone time to see roots..?

thanks Johnny Apple

they sure look very healthy. 4 different strains too all rootless
so I guess I'll dump them friday if nothing by then.

also jas... do you use rooting jell or powder in a bucket clone..? or just bare stem.

I have found that if I keep the conditions in my domes just right almost everything will show roots by 8-10 days in the dome. The main thing that slows down the cloning process for me is when my pellets get too wet. Pellets need to be damp only. If they get too wet they won't root. So if your clones are taking too long try letting the pellets dry out a bit. Works 4 me, BigSteve.

25 site cloner machine for me. roots start to show after 7 days, but 13 days im planting in solo cups with FFOF soil. huge root growth from day 7 to 13. I use an aero stone in my cloner machine, as well as 4ml of regen a root hormone/gal and ph water to 6.5. top off water after 9 days.

When I clone, I use Clonex rooting gel and put my clone into Root Riot cubes and use Clonex cloning solution in the bottom of my clone dome. I keep my clone dome vents completely closed all the time and the Clonex cloning solution in the bottom tray all the time. My clones faithfully show roots out of the root riot cubes in 7 days. I transplant to solo cups in about 10 to 15 days. Before I started using the Clonex solution, I was maybe getting 50% of my clones to root. Now that I use that stuff, I've been 100% - that stuffs amazing - and no I do not work for Clonex.

I don't ph my water and I don't use ro water - I do take the water prior to it going thru my water softener though. Never have any problems. I do have good well water though.

I too have a 25-site aero cloner, and depending on strain, roots start between 5-10 days, and between 12-16 days I have well enough roots to plant into a medium, oftentimes the roots are a foot or more long 14 days and over.

If I don't see roots by day 14, I consider it a troubled snip, and free up the space in my cloner. This is exceedingly rare for me though.

Half the time I use root gel, the other half not. I top up my cloner every couple of weeks with pH ~6.2 tap water. I've had the cloner going on two months, and I haven't needed to completely replace the water yet.

Oh, and I don't do any misting or anything of the sort.

Jiffy pellets, greenlight rooting powder, and a humidity dome. 10 days at the outside for roots to be established. Temps are pretty crucial tho.....

4 days to 44 days. There is no average, depends how you're rooting your clones.

4-44 days? dayum. I cloned cuttings from a flowering plant (3 weeks flipped) and potted them in 15 days. I have a 99% success rate on cloning. ive only had 1 not root.

They could be to cold...
My average rate is 10 - 16 days. I have gotten roots as quickly as 8 days but I have to use 6 at a time in my setup. So regardless I have to wait for 6 to have roots.

I don't use anything nearly as high tech as these new aero-cloners, or a machine at all. And like DemonTrich, I get 99% success with my method using jiffy pellets and green light rooting powder. Also, I have the cuttings under a LOW WATTAGE floro fixture.
IMHO anything over 10 days and you need to be looking at the temps. The ONLY time I ever had a problem getting clones to root was when the tray temps dropped at night. Tray Temps need to be above 70 and no higher than 80. If you live in the northern climes, this is a great investment!! http://www.homedepot.com/p/Viagrow-20-5-in-x-8-5-in-Seed-Propagating-Seedling-Heat-Mat-VSEEDMAT/202985174?cm_mmc=shopping-_-googleads-_-pla-_-202985174&skwcid&kwd=&ci_sku=202985174&ci_kw=&ci_gpa=pla&ci_src=17588969#.UldD-nh3_ac

the room always stays between 68 and 74 degrees so I imagine the water being sprayed is about the same..
so that might tell the story on there slooow rootings
