Banana Skin and Orange peel

i dunno man thats not a good idea as you really have no way of accurately measuring exactly what nutrients it would putting out.. furthermore bananas are very high in K (potassium).. and oranges are very high in citric acid.. so youre looking at a very inefficient, unstable, and unreliable way of changing your soil environment up it seems to me...

yes but for Roses its said that banana peals are very good

I know im an amateur in growing alor. But I would just leave the peels right on the top of the soil because the nutrients would break down and mend into the soil, instead of putting the IN the soil.

Now that im thinking about it....I want to try.

ok, just a little tip make sure you dry the skin before you do this or u might get mold ect..

Since your growing in soil, just throw the banana, oranges... into a gallon of watter. Shake well. screen the stuff out, then water..

That technique wouldnt work, i was reading that the nutrient come from the stuff slowly being absorbed into the soil. like rotting in the soil but its not rot lol

ye i am bored, but i heard dried banana skins makes roses like double in size so i think it may work with cannabis 2

things u can do with banana peel

1. Help Your Garden Grow: Bananas are naturally high in potassium and encourages plant growth. Use banana peel or puree entire banana and bury with soil.

yeah well a vegging plant needs nitrogen as well so i dunno man do what you do.. i dont recommend it

just put the peels in a bucket next to the plant. it gives off a gas that helps with budding. Sorry forgot the gas. It's something like apple gas also not a proper name. But it's used to keep fruit fresh. I bet rotting banana's smell like hell.

So I am a 1st generation grower started my first crop when I was 14 now this is my 4th and biggest grow at 24 2 in pots and 2 in open soil and I believe I gave my plant nutrient burn but Im hopin its potassium deficiency (if there is a difference) so Im usin banana 4 potassium oranges 4 citric acid( dont know benefits yet) and egg shells 4 calcium 2 make my roots stronger I put everythin on to top so It can mulch in2 compost

My worst fear is over waterin and I don't have pH water should I water with my city tap water

You know what I'll water it using my Brita filter and aloe vera water check this out guys I'm also trying to make cutting using this method youtu.be/JbBjO4kRknw

I used city tap water, well dont use flint water lol!

get a kit to test the ph, I just use the water and color chart, and up and down ph!

I had a mad farmer pH test kit but I ran out and have pH tested my tap be4 so i ha e an idea of its levels already so doing what I know works what do you think about letting tap water sit out for over 24 hours to evaporate chlorine I heard it'st's now longer enough to leave your tap water out for day to let the chlorine evaporate, because water is being treated with chloramine, which takes so long to evaporate

Nice work should be great for attracting bugs and animals

The bananas are fine for your soil mix or in a tea. They decompose very fast.

The orange peels I use as a top dress only. Keeps insects away. I wouldn't use that to lower your ph. It's not stable enough to hold. Sulfur as a top dress works much better.
