[h=2]Recent polling shows that an election wave of anti-ObamaCare sentiment is growing, and it is not only likely to hand the GOP control of the United States Senate, but might wipe out as many as 12 Democrat seats--many of which looked safe just a few months ago.[/h]Back in July, Five Thirty Eight's election guru Nate Silver believed that control of the Senate was a tossup. That has all changed now that voters got their first real look at the brutal consequences of ObamaCare.
Starting with the generic ballot that simply pits Republican lawmakers against their Democrat counterparts, the movement towards the GOP has been striking. In the Real Clear Politics average of these polls, going back as far as the beginning of the year, Democrats have consistently led by 3 to 4 points. During the government shutdown, Democrats leaped to 6 and 7 point leads. Since the disastrous rollout of ObamaCare, though, Republicans are not only in the lead by 2.5 points, they have led in every poll but one since November 10.
This generic polling is reflected in the available polling of individual Senate seats.
Keep in mind that in order to win control of the Senate, Republicans need only pick up 6 seats, and with Democrat incumbents retiring in the redder than red states of South Dakota, West Virginia, and Montana, Republicans pretty much have three Senate pick-ups in the bag. But thanks to ObamaCare and vulnerable Democrat Senators refusing to put their own promises and the well being of their constituents above slavish devotion to Obama, picking off another three should be fairly easy.

Nate Silver rarely if ever gets it wrong lately. He also leans left and is an Obama supporter (or was, haven't seen him make any statements about it in awhile). Even though I'm not a fan of his politics, his scientific method of polling is top top. I follow 538 during the elections and have yet to see him swing and miss. When people on the right were ignoring his polls, I warned them it was at their own peril. I'll warn you now to not ignore what he has to say.

I wouldn't worry though, president fabrication will come up with some way to denigrate republicans before the mid-terms, the media will trumpet the cause and all will be well. Sleep well c4. Wag the dog.

You have to laugh at the GOP sometimes. They were handed the presidency after the first debate then handed it back. Between the rape comments and impeachment talk they just keep shooting themselves in the foot.

I suppose if you are partisan dem you enjoy this. For me personally, I'd like to see at least 1 viable choice in this country. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

I remember Nixon the poor guy
I remember Nixon too.

Article 1
"using the powers of his high office, engaged personally and through close subordinates and agents, in a course of conduct or plan designed to delay, impede, and obstruct the investigation of such illegal entry, to cover up, conceal and protect those responsible; and to conceal the existence and scope of other unlawful and covert activities."

Article 2
"has repeatedly engaged in conduct violating the constitutional rights of citizens, impairing the due and proper administration of justice"

Article 3
"without lawful cause or excuse to produce papers as directed by duly authorized subpoenas. . . and willfully disobeyed such subpoenas."

Not everyone remembers "the poor guy" as fondly as you.

Isn't that the truth..BarryO's Obamacrack hasn't worked on me from day one...The whole Democratic machine that is embedded in BarryO's positions of power are way out of control, for example the bitch that took the fifth in the IRS should be in jail and the idiot that was sitting next to her that went to the white house to go easter egg hunting over a hundred times should be beaten ...imo...BarryO is far worse in my opinion than Nixon was.....
