the flag... REPRESENTS YOUR COUNTRY. thats what a flag's purpose is. right now our country sucks. and we cant get people to get up and change shit because they are so DOCILE. hell some are so brainwashed they think that if you dont support the flag, you hate america.

shamegame can i ask you who youre voting for?
Ok So I am brainwashed because I seperate the dark powers that be from my flag? Just because some politicians betray their country and their flag doesn't mean the damn flag can't be a good symbol instead of a bad one.

And what does it matter who I am voting for?

It doesn't matter, everyone has the right to vote for whoever they want. Unless they're a felon, then they're barred from voting for the rest of their life?

It doesn't matter if O'Bama wants to legalize MJ or not. What DOES matter is where his ideas are going to lead the country. Personally, I think he's nothing more than a warmed over fascist.

He's the perfect candidate for a post-Bush America. He's not white, He's not a Republican, and he stands for "change". Just wait until the people that vote for him figure out he's just another asshole.

Oh, and I'll bet you are still wondering if he is really a muslim after all.
There is no debate in the Islamic World that Barak Hussein Obama is a Muslim. They call him their crusader.

This makes me wonder...

I can't say I agree with the sentiment, but I do agree with the First Amendment guarantee to free speech. Flag burning is protected speech.

WTF is wrong with muslims???
Nothing, except we are in a clash of civilizations with the Islamic world. My problem with the Obama/Muslim issue is the response from his campaign. If it's no big deal, why does he break his neck to avoid the issue?

Oh, and I'll bet you are still wondering if he is really a muslim after all. Ignorance is bliss my friend.
it's not a matter of his religion...freedom of religion is in the constitution.
it's not even a matter of whether he believes in the flag of this country or not.
For me, the American flag is a symbol that reminds me of the men that have bled and died defending what America is supposed to stand for.
I don't look at it as a solute to big government...or any kind of politics...just those poor souls that have fought their way through hell and came out the other side and planted our flag in the ground...thats what I solute when I recognize the flag...keep that in mind the next time you run down someone for placing their hand over their heart and saying the pledge of allegiance.
Too many people today go around acting like they hate this country, when what they really hate is what the government has become. This country is more than just big government, they just need to get back to basics and remember what it was all about in the beginning.
Saluting the flag is a state of mind, and my mind is on those boys over seas who are only doing what they were ordered to do!

I may dislike my government, but I love my country. I know it's trite, but true.

Obama Campaign Retracts Statement Supporting Decriminalization - NORML

Flip-flop? I don't think so...More typical political rhetoric to win more votes. Besides, a POTUS cannot decriminalize marijuana; Congress does that. Want to decriminalize marijuana? Start voting in Representatives and Senators who favor decriminalization.
As much flak as 'McSame' gets for evolving his views in light of the current energy situation, it makes me laugh that Barry Ocarter is treated with such kid gloves by the media.

He was in favor of decriminalization, but now he's not. Why don't I hear an outcry over this? It's the 'McSame' thing with federal election funding. He said he would accept it, then broke his promise: not a whimper from the mainstream media.

At one time the media loved McCain and encouraged the image of him as a maverick. The media will eventually fall out of love with Barry Ocarter, and it will happen. The only doubt in my mind is timing, but I'll be surprised if it happens before the inauguration.
