Barking Mads Grow Journal, with Pics

I wouldnt worry too much about the yellowing leaves. It's only the fan leaves by the looks of things. Just going yellow as the plant is sending all of its energy and effort to the flowers. It's almost ready to be chopped by the looks of things, but leave the scissors until you get a scope!

Great journal bmad. Any plans for the next grow?

B mad have ya had a chance to look at your trichs yet? Ya want to see a amber hue to them...
No, I am a bit concerned about that, did you not read about my microscope episode earlier today. It came when I was out so I may have to wait until tomorrow.
I'm worried that charley is overdue the chop and the buds could spoil.
They seem to be looking a bit darker the last couple of days. Any ideas what or why that is?

they are the same strain? I wouldnt worry to much, I dont think a day will make much diffrence. If you start to get a amonia smell then I would be worried about bud rot,

How about watering HHM, do you wait till the soil is dry before chopping or water it first? I thought it would be better to water and then chop it an hour or two later when the leaves are upright so to speak?

As I missed the delivery of my scope today, I have taken some pics of Charleys trics and cropped them so \i could see better. In most of the pics you can just see some of the trics are turning amber. Not quite enough of them yet.

OK here we go, these are all from Charley, from her lower branches.

OK Time to zoom in just a bit more. Crop crop! (appropriate word really. haha :joint::mrgreen:)

You can see amber trics in these shots. not quite enough yet I don't think. i hope I'm right.

Looking Sweet Bro!!!!!

Hey, I Have A Question In To Al. About The Claw..,,,,I Did A Search On It, & I Think It Might Be My PH. Level????,,,,,I keep It Around 5.8 To 6.2,,One Of The Post I Read Said They Bumped The PH. To 6.7, & The Claw Went Away???

Most Of My Plant's Like The PH. At 5.8 To 6.2, & They Look Good & Healthy,,So I'm Going To Leave The PH. Where It Is,???,,,,,,I Don't Think The Claw Is Really Hurting Anything???,,,,,,Just Doesn't Look Very Good!!! bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie

Looks like the Trichomes are still clear, the pistils are turning amber though. You'll be able to see better when your scope gets there. Sure looks yummy!

Well, those of you who have been with me from the start will recall that I have more than just the three females currently in bud.
So here are a few pics of Alice, Dog, Jay and Genie.

First up is Alice she is a sativa from bagseed.
Alice is the one in the foreground.
behind her is Jay, then Dog and you can just see some of Charleys yellow leaves.

Here's another shot of Alice, as you can see above, she is being trained becuase she will be too tall for the grow room.

Here's a picture of her top.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next up, here's Jay, Dog is the one behind.

Jay again.

This one is Dog.
I should have zoomed in or cropped it first but you can still see something.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for Genie. This plant has lost over ten inches in a moving accident and been attacked by mites.
Even so, she is still too tall to get in one photo so here's the top first and the rest in the picture below.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a picture of my clones. The two at the front on the right are both goners but there are 6 quite healthy clones should be just ripe for Christmas.

Man Barking, from the looks of the pics (buds at top) they are done :)
Did you check the trics? Maybe your hps gives them the golden look, but usually it's the trics. Very nice mate!!!

You are doing a fantastic job for your first grow. I like the scientific approach your taking. If you stick with it, you will have a lot to offer the growing community. I learned more on my second grow than I did on my first years ago.
Good Job!

I hope you are right too, I didn't know growing would be so much fun or so
educational. I'm still learning all the time.
