Ok so im going to do a small, 3 plant..trial run if you will of Barney's Farm-Blue Mammoth.
All of the info, what very little there is...is mostly from new growers, but ive seen quite a few experienced growers pull some monsters out. So this is my decent-ally experienced run at the strain.

Lights:
1000 watt thunder dimmable ballast

Medium: #5 Nursery Pots/3.80Gal
Jungle Growth Flower&veg mix-with charcoal to feed mycos
perlite(a very substantial amount for a quick draining, soil-less mix)-40-45%
mushroom compost
superthrive
I have my personal mix for these ingredients, because im taking a very rich organic compost soil mix and other goodies, but i add quite a lot of perlite, id say about 45% so its like a microbial, bio, nutrient rich, soil-less mix

Nutrients:
Botanicare-CNS17 Grow & Bloom + Ripe, Silica shield, Hydroplex, Liquid Karma, and Sweet Raw

Since this is an automatic strain, i should be able to run it at 18/6, so i am. we shall see if they all cooperate.

I will regularly post pictures of their progress in case anyone wants to check out this strain.
I will be running the light at 500 watts for the first 2 1/2 weeks, then 750 watts for the next 4, and 1000 watts the final weeks. ill adjust my hood height accordingly...and these WILL BE THE ONLY PLANTS UNDER THIS LIGHT.

There are 3 Blue Mammoths, that all popped out of the coco seed starters Jan 24th. One day later, I put them into the organic soil-ish mixture.

Gracias,
DGAF

UPDATE: 5 Days

Ok im updating only because i have a distinguishable difference already. (ill have pictures up tonight when my wife gets home. im technologically impaired)

Out of my 3 Blue Mammoth's, there are two very different phenos already. I have 2 BM that are exactly 3.15cm tall that have a deep forrest green color almost blueish, my other pheno is 6.72cm tall an electric lime green with a narrower leaf pattern. I may have gotten lucky and gotten the "mammoth" pheno. too early to say anything so we shall see!

edit-they are all the exact same distance from the 500 watt hps. i may not wait 2 weeks to crank it to 750 watts. theyre starting to take in growth, so as soon as theyre vegging (in about 2-3 days it looks liks) im goin to 750 and then 1000 at flower.

sweet. sounds good. im just curious, what was your yield, and how many watts?
did you do light schedule 18/6, 20/4, or 24/0
im trying to get an accurate bead on how to treat this strain.

Ok so heres an update. I have two muuch shorter phenos, both very different from the other though, and one thats got to be the "mammoth" pheno. very dark blue-ish, VERY fast grower, and a much more blueberry look over all.

Heres a pic finally. The germinating tray has Auto Jack in it, which isnt relevant to this grow, but i need all the space i can get for my main crop, clones, n mommys.

ok so heres WEEK 3 update

i have 2 plants showing their pistils, but 1 in the back left of that picture, hasnt shown any signs of flowering, but it has been my slowest grower thus far. hopefully its just a few days behind schedule.

ok so i was RIGHT on point on the phenos. the 1 pot in the front, with the fastest growing plant has now turned blue, with VERY bright violet purple on the underside of the blue leaves. the whole plant is blue and purple, i cant wait to see the buds.
so id day its safe to say that this plant is def much more blueberry indica.

the pheno in the back right hand side is a very cheese dominant pheno. its got muuuuuch more sativa to it than any of the others. im not saying its a sativa, but the look of the plant is sativa dominant. also very beautiful.

ill have another picture to post on the progress of these.

Ok this is week #5, i havent had time to update last week...but heres the progress.

2 plants very similar in height n stretch.
1 plant thats got perfect internode distance, VERY thick stem, VERY thick side branching. at least 2-3 times thicker than the others. great branching.

ISSUE #1 HELP PLEASE?
2 plants start drooping their leaves as if theyre in their sleep mode, after about 14 hours of light. I cant figure out for the life of me what it is. no PH, no over water, no under water, no over fert, so far no signs of deficiency nor lock out. its really weird. The two that i have that are very much alike in phenos do it, and the heavily branched BM aka BM3 doesnt have any problems goin 24/7

BY THE WAY DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT EVER BUY FREEDOM OF SEEDS-AUTO JACK. THEYRE DUDS AFTER 3 WEEKS AS SEEDLINGS.

Update 5 weeks

ok I figured out what the drooping bullshit was all about. its the plants stopping photosynthesis to respire (breath). this causes the leaves to look like the plant is in its "sleep" state.
i was running these plants at 18/6, but at exactly 12 hours on the dot, for a couple weeks now 2 of the similar pheno start going to sleep. they were flowering at 18/6, but with two of them drooping, I HAVE SWITCHED TO A 12/12 LIGHT CYCLE.

i did this because i didnt want to cause any harm to the plants, but mostly because if plants arent photosynthesizing while the lights are on...youre wasting your electricity. the plants cant photo and respire at the same time. and apparently these plants can flower on any light cycle, but they more so like some darkness. so im going to finish them in a 12/12 cycle..can anyone tell me if i should keep 12/12 or go back to 18/6?

I dont grow autos, but this seems to me like the plants might be healthier this way...but if the YIELD is better with letting them go longer, i will.

Its week 6 and 2 days.

The two plants in the back have been super cropped, and LST'd. Since these are autos, and im only running 3 i would like to get the best possible yields.
Running at 750 watts most of the time, with the temps lowering outside, i have been turning it up to 1000 watts as it gets colder again.

The third picture is of a maroon&purple pheno, with LOADS of crystals already. The other 2 have no where near the resin production, but they will make up for potency in terms of yield.

I took these pictures of the "roonie pheno" out of the hps so you can actually see it.
