hey guys, quick question. can i cool my light with the air from outside. its cold out here, snowing and about 27 right now, was about 2 out the other day (F)

dont want to crack the glass or anything and dont want the bulb to crack.

Running cooler air through your hood is great but I would steer away from super cold air. I really doubt you will crack any glass but the bulbs are made to run at a specific temperature and if you cool it too significantly you could possibly alter the spectrum or loose lumen. I personally would be more worried about the humidity of the air outdoors versus the temp. You really don't want to be pulling too much moisture through your hood. Of course if its freezing outside it's likely fairly dry.

Any chance you could pull air from below the house? Might be slightly warmer than the outside and should be a fairly constant humidity as well.

And like massah stated in your other thread - the bulbs are meant to be used outdoors so the cold isn't going to kill it. Generally when used outside they are enclosed and do not have air pulled past them - you could always just pull air very slowly past the bulb. If it is really cold air you shouldn't need too much airflow around the bulb and thus reduce the risk of over cooling the bulb.

waiting on these dam seedlings to do something, 3/4 have sprouted, had to help the third one out must not have buried it deep enough. the 4th one in the JD bottle had a rough start and i dont have much hope for it, but if it emerges and grows i will grow it

I dropped an MH bulb about a month ago in a parking lot (it was in my trunk) and a guy who was getting into his car thought it was hilarious!.. I disagreed :fire:

the time has finally arrived, i am the proud owner of 12 uniqe strains all feminized :) my order from attitude has arrived and after inspecting all the seeds they look pretty good. it took 8 days from the day they sent them out to get to me wich is not bad time at all, probally would have been shorter if they didnt spend 2 dam days in New Jersey for whatever reasons.

heres some pics
