You guys seen these? Anyone using them? CXB3590s (or CXB3070s) and Mean Well drivers in these familiar old cases... What do you guys think? The prices seem really good for the number of COBs, wattages, drivers, all the specs... I guess the only drawback I can think of is that the COBs are packed pretty close together in those cases... The footprint in a 4x4 or 5x5 would have a hotspot in the center and drop off around the edges more like an HID in a hood, whereas with DIY frames the COBs can be spaced out evenly over the entire grow area... But the price of the biggest one is $1499 for 16 CXB3590s with the drivers... You can't even buy four 4-COB DIY kits for that price, right?? Am I missing something here? Oh I guess the kits are passive and these have fans... Either way.. Opinions?

It's been discussed many times. Seems like a good deal. I'm sure they're bottom bin cxb. And you're 100% right about the center hot spot. You'd have to run it like hid

word. ya I just noticed they don't mention the bin of the chips they use in the lights... The cxb3590s on the spare parts page are cd bin, but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean the ones in the pre-assembled lights are too...

I pulled 1.2gpw my 2nd grow with the 8 light in a 4x4. Once I get a basement I will be spacing them out tho
