So I bought the HTG cool tube. I have the six in model. It is nice. So I bought the 8 in model. I figured it was a pro model. I hope somehow I am still right. It has what I am guessing is a 7.5 inch collar! I have a seven inch fitting and an eight inch fitting. Neither works. I am holding it on with duct tape. As we all know duct tape wears out once a week on hot ducts.

Is their a 7.5 collar out there? Is their a quick fix metal glue? Some epoxy that sets in 12 hours. So I can fix it in the lights out an duse it by night. I know pathetic but I did it bare bulbed for a week and no more please.

M old hood was huge. I thought this would be better for heat though. With the extenda wings I have made it is a few feet in width. It looks nice, except for the idiotic collar size.

Also those flimsy 4 in wings it comes with are retarded. I took an old pebble reflector ad chopped it up the middle with wire cutters then drilled some holes and moubnted that. Now a foot on each side.

So any solutions. I plant to use an Ice box heat exchanger and I dont need loose collars.

could'nt you just fit your exhaust hose over the end and get a cheap adjustable ducting ring to tightin over the outside to make it air tight
