Well good luck with your endeavor Rare D in MI.
I have no idea how you are going to do this; but you will need at least a little luck to succeed.
Me...I'll be snoozing man.

The searching for high cbd cuts that are as close to the mom as possible is the challenge, but I think my team is up to it.

He means searching for high cbd progeny from an elite crossed w a high cbd strain. What do you think cannabis progrny are an exact perfectly blended mix of both parents? Do you have every attribute from both of your parents? Are you exactly identical to either of your parents?

...more w breeding them cbd-ers, like mom banging the mailman, she's got the good looks and she-he has the delivery system down. progeny w she-he cbd plus the most desirable traits of the 'cutting only' stank, heft n pheno stuff.

major project will last a decade and beyond, cld be legendary.

Slow down there...Thought he was offering cuts at his new shop. Seems to me offering cuts of high CBD strains would be a faster way to get it out but projects are nice too.

He is, thats what were talkimg about. See it works like this; you take an elite clone, pollinate it w pollen from a high cbd strain. Several weeks later the plant that was pollenated will produce seeds. Then the plant gets harvested, including the seeds that formed as a result of the pollenation. Seeds are then dried and cured and eventually germinated. These germinated seeds grow into what we call a plant. These plants are grown in a vegetative state for a period and then the light cycle gets changed for the flowering process. Once the plants have fully flowered and all of their attributes can be quantified, then amd only then will the cuts be available. Sheesh.

I take it you're involved in this project too?

I have a piece of advice from way out in left field here for you guys. Something that is completely lost on most marijuana breeders it seems. Try to stay away from being a complete dick and chastising the very people that could end up being your customers. I could be wrong, but my theory is that customers are an important part of a successful business model.

Oh we have those, but wouldn't y'all prefer a strain that has the terps of say OG kush, or UK cheese, with a 1:1 or 2:1 CBD:THC ratio?

Yes please.
Me too. My ultimate goal is to get a flavorful clone with a 1:1 ratio, but both in double digits. Theoretically the highest we can really get is 15% on both sides, and that would be a CRAZY rare find. Stupid science. I was bummed to find out that a 20/20 strain is impossible :finger:

Because CBDA converts into both delta9 THC and CBD, so there isn't an equal conversion ratio. With all cannabinoids accounted for (d8,d9 THC, cbd, cbn, cbg) the highest total numbers labs have seen are around 40%. I have discussed this with DJ short, who works closely with the werc shop in LA. They are probably the best lab in the country from what I have seen. I also discussed this with the lab tech at iron labs.

And yeah, that acid that C&T has is a freak. Great find.
