hello people im looking to grow in my loft im looking to grow 5mothers for cloning and to have a perpetual grow so im no more than 2 weeks from bud

i live in the uk and have a very active police helicopter in my area i know a few people who grow in there lofts but there set up is really basic just rockwool insulation and black/white mylar

im looking to have 2x400hps lights for flowering the grow and 1x400mh for the 5 mothers and 4x25w cfl's for clones

i will have about £400 to do it all the light i have and im looking to use soil

if i use polystyrene to insulate the roof rafters with 12mm plywood over that and would that keep the eye in the sky from seeing all the heat in the loft i have got a few ideas where to send all the heat from the grow but im looking for any ideas for keeping them out my house and loft

Where are you venting the room to? Its a slightly more important consideration...cos if your just setting up lights in your attic a roll of plastic/some insulation isnt gonna help you very much cos it will eventually heat up too. The police cant actually see into your attic, they just see the temperature of the actual structure and any heat leaking/coming out of it, they dont have cameras from the movie Predator like, lol.

well there is a few ideas for the venting the hot air one of them is into the chimney wall so it just looks like the fire is on the other is to pump it into a room with a ac in it to kill the heat off or to pump it directly into the house in the winter to keep the house warm

yea, HPS produces a lot of heat. If your grow op is so sensitive (vulnerable) to heat detection, why not consider the LED alternative? it is much cheaper than actually getting caught by the douchebags in the sky, plus, all the money you need for venting heat with airconditioning, I've think you've got cash to divert to LEDs. Just an IMO. because I don't see any security in homebrewing your own anti-radar shields if you don't have your own helicopter / heat detection gear to make a dry run and know if your setup even works properly. goodluck mang!
