Been awhile but a few questions for fiber growers.

Been awhile since I been here but I need a bit of help.
I pretty much started off in the aero world and been doing that...

So I'd like to get a few 1k lights and try with coco fiber.
Problem is im used to aero and fast growth etc...

I'd like to know how many plants and what size square pots to use and do the least amount of veg and still pull about 20 oz per light.
Oh and nutes would be an added bonus =D lol.

I would like to use tap water waiting for 5 gal buckets to fill up for ro is a pain.

Reason im a bit confused is I've been doing ro wAter w Lucas formula in aeroflos w badboy t5s. About 2000watts worth.

My idea wAs 4 1k lumateks hortilux bulbs two week veg 20 plants per light coco fiber 1 gal pots and possibly advanced conissour a + b. Maybe some molasses. Looking to get 1 oz each. So 1 1/4 lb per light w air cooled yeildmasters as well.

New to coco n such would like some input on good yield low veg time and nutes that aren't complex w eight bottles would be nice lol.

i have only grown in canna coco professional+ and used the whole canna line, so i don't know about the products you mentioned.
i personally think the range is excellent and so much easier than any other method with great yields.


i'm running an experiment at the minute where i am growing 4 large lstd plants (18ltr pots) under 1 600w hps and then right next to them under another 600 i am growing 13 cuttings (7-12ltr pots) 12/12 from clone(no training or pruning). there are so many differing oppinions when it comes to feeding in coco, some people prefer autopots and constantly feed their plants but i am of the oppinion that you should feed, flush, feed, flush in a cycle. on the small plants i have on a draining table i will try the feed, flush schedule with plenty of run off, and on the big plants i will just feed constantly with little run off. unfortunately i only started this last week so can't give you any concrete evidence, i feel that 20 1 gall pots would be ok under a 1000w but only if you aren't going to veg them first, i think they would be root bound before you know it, last grow i used 3.5g pots and only vegged for a week, they were filled with roots come harvest.

with regards to growth rate i hear that they do grow quickest in aerogarden, but i swear in coco you will be surprised, my plants seem to be growing an inch per day at least. i have just turned them to 12/12 and am expecting them to grow even faster for the next couple of weeks.

products i use are:
medium: canna coco pro+
veg and bloom nute: coco a+b
root accelerator: rhizotonic
flowering stimulant: pk 13/14
bloom booster/ripener: atami bloombastic.

i hand feed every two to 3 days and i think it is the way to go with regards to coco.

i hope you made sense of what i said and it helped you in some way, i think with the method you described you would easily get more than 1oz per plant, maybe more like 2+

Yeh I really only wanted to see a little bit of growth before 12/12 cuz I've done some that root and by the end of flower are like 8 inches tall... So I figured a week or two cuz I veg in aero a week and the get 1 1/2 feet which is good.

So you think 20 1 gal pots per light w nutes like that could pull 1 oz+ ?
I'd like that to be my minimum anything more is just a bonus. I figured I'd hand feed nutes skip a day plain water a day skip a day then nute again. Something along those lines. Should I use bigger pots? Im new to the coco for the most part my mums are coco and I jus use flora nova to feed them w bcuzz fiber. So never bloomed in it.

i cant anwser that correctly because i never used 1gal pots, also depends on strian, i think you should go with 2 gal pots if you can especially if you want to veg them first. on my last grow i did 12/12 from clone in 3.5gal pots and pulled over an oz, the pots were slightly too big i think, 2 gallon would have been ideal. the feeding schedule sounds good

I think I'm gonna go w master kush and barely veg. Tryna see what kinda nutes to go with. I've heard good about foxfarm to and canna.

Anyone else care to share their secret? Lol

Watsup bros.. i use canna coco nutes and grow in canna coco. I use ppm , i start feeding with liquid karma only for the first week with my kush clones at 100 ppm, 2 ml sm90 per gallon ,20 ml silica in 20 gallon res . at week two i up to 250 ppm same mixture but add c anna a&b and 1/2 dose of bud candy ( 50 ppm is liuid karma)- . First week of 12/12 i keep it at 450 ppm and when i see pistols i use 1/3 dose of kushie kush ( which in my opinion is a killer bloom booster) and 25 ppm of pk13-14 . Now this is where i do things a bit different which i like to think is my secret . Second week i up the kushie kush 25 ppm and leave everything the same untill week three. Week three i up kushie kush 50 ppm and pk 13-14 25 ppm. I leave the kushie kush the same in week four and up pk 13-14 to 100 ppm . Week 5 i up pk13-14 to 150 ppm and stop using it after week five. Now in week six i stop using kushie kush and add 1.5 mls per litre overdrive and full strength bud candy through week 6. Week 7 i feed 2.5 mls ( full strength) overdrive and full strength bud candy. They start to really put the weight on in week 7. I stop everything end of week seven and feed them just liquid karma at 200 ppm and canna a&b at 300 ppm for one week then flush.
