Hello guys i think i need some help with an issue that occurs a few days before the harvest as soon as possible. I' m growing indoor 4 Autoflowers (jack herer, super bud, amnesia and AK-47) in a 1.2x1.2x2m box with a 400w Hps. i use bio bizz soil and nutrients(bio grow, bio bloom and top max 3pack).jack is 9 weeks and 4days old and super bud have been planted 1 week before and the other two have being now 1 week in flowering stage. My grow room environment is perfect 22-26C the day and 19-20C at night RHumiditi now that all my plants are at flowering stage is at 45-55% and my light circle is 18-6 and light distance is about 30-40cm.My problem is with jack cause it has 1week and few days that the plant is turning yellow from up site down and not the opposite. i dont check my pH cause i make a mix of tap water or bottled (7.5-8ph) with alot deionized(5.5ph) water and the ratio is about 500ml tap or bottled water with 1000ml deionized. my pots for your info is 11lt and i fit around 13lt soil. Jack has 18days that i stoped feeding him with nutriends and started flashing only pure water. SO jack started taking nutrients at the 3rd week of his life and the last time was at week 7. everything apply the same and with super bud but he is 1 week back of the jack and he doesnt showing any yellowing of the leafs from the top. i know that what ever it is i cant do something. the think is that he is going to be cut in 3-5days. check him your self and tell me what should i do?should i be hurry up with the harvest or its not a problem to let him few more?brown pistils are around 50% 12969240_1022568104465595_279985245_n.jpg 12966353_1022568127798926_1695536638_n.jpg 12966647_1022567994465606_2922608_n.jpg 12939419_1022568004465605_565756264_n.jpg

It's an opinion. Everybody has one

I always flush in soil. I'd rather have good taste than worry about yield
I agree, I don't see how it could hurt yield that much as there is still residual nutes in the soil plus good soil can sustain a plant on its own for quite a while

I once read in one of these threads in a post from an old timer, and I'm paraphrasing, that the best sign of a successful grow is the plant still having a good percentage of green leaves at harvest.
I'm most definitely not anything close to an old timer. I'd say I'm almost an intermediate grower but that's cos today's a good day! But in my opinion that plant just looks hungry. I mean that in no way as criticism. If you chose a 2 week flush then it seems fairly obvious that the plant is gonna be starving by harvest time, so maybe that particular strain just uses up its stores of nutrients faster and maybe didn't need such a long flush? Personally, I don't flush at all ever, I hate the word cos I think it is misused so often that lots of people don't actually know what it means, but I withhold nutrients from their usual watering for the last 5-7 days, which is just a personal choice. I had to harvest a couple of plants early and because it was a crisis they got cut within 36 hours of their last feed. I don't remember noticing any difference in the smoke to be honest, but that's by no means a scientific conclusion, just my observation. Good luck with your harvest man, hope the ganga gods smile upon you :bigjoint:

Most people consider that to be a pre-harvest 'flush'. Just switching to plain water, not flooding it out

You can have great buds with the nutes flushed out, nothing wrong with a little yellowing at the end!:

Autos WILL YELLOW at end of life or maturity. This does NOT MEAN FEEDING.
Last week prior - put on water only ( no need to flush ) water will be fine.

Harvest Time :
When they are " trich ready " , WATER once with boiling hot water ( kills roots ) and harvest in 3 days.

Simple .

But judge triches BEFORE harvest not by days during grow .

K dude, your post is super google translate style, but here goes. Sorry it turned into a debate about weather or not to flush, AGAIN.

If you've flushed the soil of nutrients and it is close to harvest, both of those things cause leaves to change colour.

Your plants are fine and will give you some great smoke. You did an awesome job and you're almost there.

The reason that flushing improves flavour is that it decreases the amount of chlorophyll and sugars within the plant before harvest. By starving the plant of nutrients you essentially thin it's blood and give it low blood sugar. This means that on top of curing the bud after harvest, you have already eliminated a bunch of the compounds curing removes.

There is misconception that flushing cleanses the plant of nutrient salts. This is incorrect. It simply cleanses the root zone of nutrient salts. The roots and leaves in the plant convert those salts into the building blocks that build big tasty buds.

Next time try a shorter flush, or simply "autumn off" the plants by decreasing the feed gradually over the last few weeks before harvest. It will have the same effect on flavour as flushing does.

Enjoy your smoke. You grew it!

It looks close to done. Just let it fade.

Next time use a well balanced fert and feed all the way through.

If using synthetic nutes make sure you get 20% run off to prevent salt build up and lock outs.

That's ok, I prefer to flush the salts out of mine

Built up salts from nutrients. If you grow organically you don't have to worry about it
You can't flush them. You can wash them from the root zone. The plant is literally what you fed it. When it turns yellow like that its converting those leaves into more food. Flushing has nothing to do with taste.
