The lights over this plant were:
x1 45w CFL
x1 17w 6000k CFL
and a couple more 45w's nearby.

Soil is from my yard, where a garden used to be . I tested it and its ph was around 6.5-7 and the nitrogen levels are medium to high.

I havent added any nutes yet.

I have a moisture meter and water them when 3/4 down the pot says dry. I also dig around a bit just to double check. They are pretty much bone dry every time I water them.

In the closet I have 3 fans blowing from different directions, the room next door has the window open, and I periodically open the closet door to let some fresh air in the closet.

Well my first post was at 12 this morning, and I just got home, and the plant hasnt gotten any worse so thats good I guess.

They don't look horrible.

When you dug up the outside garden soil, did you amend it? a little peat, or perlite, compost, or vermiculite, etc?

Asking because the soil *looks* compacted. (I said *looks* because its tough from a pic, and thats all I got) The soil also looks 'brown' over black.

Keep 'em going! When x-planting think about better soil.

Yeah I was planning on adding some perlite to a better soil when I do the transplant. Possibly order some Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. Thats what its called right? Ive heard good things about that. The soil is browner than black, prolly cuz its not that good :-D.

Well I hope I didnt make a terrible mistake being cheap.. overall over my grow box I have about 200w of CFL's 3 different kelvins (3000k,5000k,6500k)

Don't buy FF ocean if you have to have it shipped. (others might disagree)
Get the Miracle Moisture Control at Lowes/Home Depot. Also grab Perlite and mix in about 20% into the soil. But hold off on any nutes.

I like the light schedule. Is the 200W real or equivalent? what hours?

(black vs brown on soil is only a rough gauge. peat is brown and considered a good additive)

200 watt real.

Lights:
x3 45w CFL's (3000k)
x2 10w CFL's (3000k)
x1 17w CFL (5000k)
x1 27w CFL (6500k)

all real watts not the equivalents.

I have the lights on 24/7

Just go down home-depot and get some soil for african violets and a bag of perlite.
It will cost you a startling 8$ lol.
The problem is imo the soil. The roots have a hard time expanding.
Transplant the plant(Maby a good idea to transplant the others too?) into the new soil.
2/3 soil and 1/3 perlite will do the plant nice.
After that you should just continue the way you are taking care of the plant. :)
Good luck and i hope you get high yields!

^^^^ What lex said.

just wanna add NOT to remove the current soil. Just plop the whole thing (minus the pot) into the new mixed soil.

Water the new soil for a few day ahead of time to stabilize it a bit.

Make the mix in a much bigger pot then you plan on putting it in. (mixing is messing and tough to do in the pot the plant is going into.)

i think everyone is pretty on spot with it being the soil. theres lots of issues with soil from your yard even if the PH is right. like bugs in it ect. so i would definitely improve the soil, just add to it the new soil you got and the pearlite. 80% soil 20% pearlite. give it a good water and then keep an eye on the ph levels. good luck!

thank you all for the responses, what size pots do you guys reccommend?? (Im using 6 inch pots now, I believe they are 1.5qt.) And when should I transplant it? Its only 7 days old from sprouting so I want to make sure its not gunna all fall apart I dont want to damage any of the roots.

Rumor has it to x-plant only once. I have x-plated 3-4 times. But I had time to let them re-adjust.

As for disrupting the roots? watch the home improvemt shows. they ill pull a plant out of a pot and score the roots around the edge. Don't sweat that.

Final pot size should be 3-5 gallon.
