Bend One Tall Cola Down or Keep Lights Higher?

Three weeks into flower, I've got one plant with one tall cola that's about 4 inches above the rest of the canopy. I tied it down so I could lower the light a few inches. I was going to pull it down a little more each day until it was even with the next highest part of the canopy. Is this the right thing to do or should I just keep my light a foot away from that tallest cola and let this potential donkey dick grow unmolested?

Where should I snap? Below all the flower development?
where ever you want to.. i like to bend them so they are even with the rest of the canopy.. keep everything at the same height if you can.. they will grow up again at the bend over time, but nothing like they would be without the super crop job imo.
i usually bend them over below like you usually have a top cola, then maybe two or so below that one, i bend it below the next set of buds below the top cola most of the time..

squeeze the stem between your thumb and two fingers until it snaps, then using your thumb roll the stem over your fingers to the desired position.

perfect explanation as you really want to make sure you break the cell walls in the outer stems to help it stay down better.. otherwise they will go right back into position pretty much over night..
fyi, you will think you just fucked up your plants if you do it right.. they will fall right over on themselves and you will think wtf did i just listen to these assholes on riu, but they will bounce right back.. it's pretty cool watching phototropism in work after a good super crop imo.. :D

OMG, YOU DIDN'T DO IT THAT WAY... :wall: you just screwed up your plants.. :(

lol, seriously though, looks good. where you bent them will form a big like callous and after a bit the buds will start to grow back up towards the light, but the stem will stay down for the most part.. it will eventually start going back up, but you done did good.

you can do it to other bud sites as well if you have more then one main cola, i do it to help open up the plants and allow more light into them.. i bend each bud site in a different direction to really open up the plants..

Lol, thanks. This was the only plant that had an uneven top. I think I only topped this one once and all of the others were topped twice. This is also my first run with a sativa dominant strain. The other sativa dominant female has a perfectly even top with 5 main colas. This one was even until I flipped, then this one cola took off.

Here's what the "super-cropped" cola is looking like now:

Have to say that I'm really happy with the results. The tip bent up and grow a few more inches and all the nuggets have pointed up and grown as well. Thanks for the great advice, guys.
