bernie sanders: regressive

Yes it is true; my primary was March 1, and you had to be registered as a Democrat before Christmas the previous year.
This may be too nuanced for you:
https://www.boston.com/news/politics/2016/06/14/harvard-study-confirms-refutes-bernie-sanderss-complaints-media

Sanders was well known ahead of the primaries and he had fantastically positive articles written about him. Your story -- the one where you learned of and supported Sanders while nobody else was able to read about him is very strange. Another example of how you bend the truth to fit your idea of what should be.

Just like @Padawanbater2 's narrative how black people in the south can't read the news. So they just did what Hillary Clinton tole dem to do.

You're lost your goddamn mind, quote where I have ever said black people in the south can't read news. I'd love to see that!

Sanders was well known ahead of the primaries and he had fantastically positive articles written about him.
More easily verifiable bullshit spewing from your mouth;

"In what has to be some kind of record, the Washington Post ran 16 negative stories on Bernie Sanders in 16 hours, between roughly 10:20 PM EST Sunday, March 6, to 3:54 PM EST Monday, March 7—a window that includes the crucial Democratic debate in Flint, Michigan, and the next morning’s spin:

March 6, 10:20 PM: Bernie Sanders Pledges the US Won’t Be No. 1 in Incarceration. He’ll Need to Release Lots of Criminals
March 7, 12:39 AM: Clinton Is Running for President. Sanders Is Doing Something Else
March 7, 4:04 AM: This Is Huge: Trump, Sanders Both Using Same Catchphrase
March 7, 4:49 AM: Mental Health Patients to Bernie Sanders: Don’t Compare Us to the GOP Candidates
March 7, 6:00 AM: ‘Excuse Me, I’m Talking’: Bernie Sanders Shuts Down Hillary Clinton, Repeatedly
March 7, 9:24 AM: Bernie Sanders’s Two Big Lies About the Global Economy
March 7, 8:25 AM: Five Reasons Bernie Sanders Lost Last Night’s Democratic Debate
March 7, 8:44 AM: An Awkward Reality for Bernie Sanders: A Strategy Focused on Whiter States
March 7, 8:44 AM: Bernie Sanders Says White People Don’t Know What It’s Like to Live in a ‘Ghetto.’ About That…
March 7, 11:49 AM: The NRA Just Praised Bernie Sanders — and Did Him No Favors in Doing So
March 7, 12:55 PM: Even Bernie Sanders Can Beat Donald Trump
March 7, 1:08 PM: What Bernie Sanders Still Doesn’t Get About Arguing With Hillary Clinton
March 7, 1:44 PM: Why Obama Says Bank Reform Is a Success but Bernie Sanders Says It’s a Failure
March 7, 2:16 PM: Here’s Something Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders Have in Common: And the Piece of the Argument That Bernie Doesn’t Get Quite Right.
March 7, 3:31 PM: ‘Excuse Me!’: Bernie Sanders Doesn’t Know How to Talk About Black People
March 7, 3:54 PM: And the Most Partisan Senator of 2015 Is … Bernie Sanders!

All of these posts paint his candidacy in a negative light, mainly by advancing the narrative that he’s a clueless white man incapable of winning over people of color or speaking to women. Even the one article about Sanders beating Trump implies this is somehow a surprise—despite the fact that Sanders consistently out-polls Hillary Clinton against the New York businessman."

Regarding the DNC emails, I have no idea what is fake and what is real in those.
The Democratic establishment has confirmed the emails were real; Brazile, and Schultz were both ousted from their positions at CNN and the DNC, respectively. Clinton has made numerous comments after the fact that the DNC emails contributed to her loss. Are you delusional, or just a liar?
I consider the availability of those emails to be useful but also misleading because they are all taken from office chatter and who knows what the real intent was behind the messages.
"All taken from office chatter" - irrelevant

Members of the DNC were privately discussing ways to hurt Sanders campaign specifically to help Clinton's campaign while they are bound by the DNC bylaws to remain neutral. It doesn't matter if they personally believe Sanders is not a Democrat, it doesn't matter if they personally believe Sanders is bad for the party, it doesn't matter if what they discussed was actually carried out as planned. Their job is to remain neutral and provide equal resources towards both political campaigns and let the American people decide who they believe has a better vision for the future for the Democratic party. That's how democracy works.

Your criticism after everything came to light was that the DNC didn't actually do anything illegal, they simply acted unethically and damaged the party as a whole and played a major role in electing Trump as president.. After, I started a thread asking members if they would support a mandate that made the DNC bylaws legally binding, to ensure this doesn't happen again, and you showed your true colors; you would not support such a mandate because you are not an actual progressive. You want the DNC to legally be able to cheat for the establishment candidate because their beliefs and values are closer to yours than they are to actual progressives.

I agree that the DNC must maintain neutral relationships to the different parties and there are no excuses. But really, other than some vague hackneyed "woulda-shoulda" messages between lower staff, what meaningful actions did the DNC undertake on behalf of Clinton. DWS should have been fired as head and she resigned before that happened.
You've made plenty of excuses for the DNC for favoring the Clinton campaign
You, Califonia guy, want Florida representative pilloried.
Ya done, Karen?

“He’s raised millions outside of Georgia from Nancy Pelosi and outsiders who just don’t share our priorities,” Handel tells the camera. “My opponent doesn’t live here [and] doesn’t share our values.” -Karen Handel

Did you plagiarize that shit, be honest??
The one wikileaks memo you very mistakenly quoted as a real action against Sanders in W Va was back office chatter. Nothing ever was undertaken in West Virginia.
Be back manana to debunk this bullshit

On the larger issue, are you completely oblivious to how this affects voter confidence? The Democratic party has been exposed as corrupt via the leaked emails, whether you consider them legitimate or not, the damage has been done. The polls reflect that. Hillary Clinton, Democratic presidential candidate in 2016, today, has a worse approval rating than president dorito himself... even after all of his blunders so far. The Democratic party doesn't do much better, still below Trump, Pence, and the Republican party.

How is that possible? We all know Trump and the Republicans are destroying the country with every passing day, and yet the Democratic party and their most significant previous leader is facing more public opposition? How is that possible?

Meanwhile, Senator Sanders sits comfortably at 60-70%, ask yourself; why is that?

True, this.

Politics aren't a game. Sanders had to win the nomination and he did not. He didn't start soon enough, he didn't really have an answer for issues with racial bias by government and he simply didn't garner enough votes.

The DNC's own rules were broken and there is justifiable anger by Sanders supporters over this. Yet also naivete.

And delusions. Such as @Padawanbater2 's belief that the DNC under the leadership of Deborah Wasserman Schultz conducted a smear campaign against Sanders. There was no such campaign mounted by the DNC. The smear campaign never happened. Yet it is in the memory of Bernie's babies that there was.

Naive, deluded powerless ideologic chatter on the part of Bernie's babies isn't very convincing.

Then again, maybe Bernie is a bot.
You never answered my question: what's hillarys plan on racism?

Calling voters 'babies' because they support another view?

Ignorant, my friend.

Your line of reasoning has racism inside of it. "Sanders wasn't well known in the South". Nonsense. You learned of and read about Sanders why do you think Democratic party voters in Mississippi or other deep south states, who are disproportionately black can't read like you can?

So, explain to me why Sanders lost so badly in the south that the primary was over after the South was done voting. Can't say there wasn't enough coverage for Sanders. By the end of the debate season in 2015, Sanders was getting plenty of good media attention.

i don't think conspiracy theories about the first black president's book deals are gonna win you any votes in the south either. maybe among racist republicans, but only if you are running as a republican.

hey, there's an idea: run bernie again as an independent who appeals to racist white people (because he does) and siphon votes away from whatever ball of garbage the GOP is running.

I replied earlier. Go back and check the post. But to be completely up to date, Hillary isn't running for office and as far as I know, as citizen, she does stuff that citizens do. Do you have a plan on racism?

Again, you shot a bunch of bolts in the air. I don't really care to spend the time to read it all and respond. If you want to stick to something specific and one topic, I'll be glad to shred your fake news reality.

Do you want to trade lists of bullshit the media put together about both candidates. Read the reports. Sanders had plenty of good press coverage leading up to the primary. Clinton got more coverage but most of it was negative. More negative stories were posted about Clinton. Much of it was bullshit too.

are you debating again?

How about some facts.

Did you know that the Democratic party supports universal healthcare coverage?

Did you know that every Democratic Party Senator voted to support Sanders' bill to repeal Citizen's United? Did you know that the Republican Party was handed a huge win in the Senate after they killed Sander's bill to repeal Citizen's United?

Did you know that the Republican party is on the cusp of literally killing millions of elderly by denying them access to healthcare coverage?

Did you know that Sanders is advocating Democratic Party Senators divert time and effort away from stopping the Republicans from killing the elderly?

Did you know that Sanders is accepting zero responsibility for the loss of the Senate in 2014?

Doesn't this whole bit about symbolic support for a healthcare bill sponsored by Sanders that has no chance of passage sound like wishful thinking with echoes of vote in 2014 to repeal CU and therefore unhinged from reality?

Ty, it's not your party nor is it Independent Sanders'. You want a third party. All you ever do is spread lies about Democrats. So go party, dude.
How about just reading the article I posted?

The original question was 'what was Sanders' and I replied..well you know:wink:

Yes. There is no plan for racism. It's links back to tribalism and culture. Can't change it no how; no way.

I told you that as well and gave you solid reasoning- which are documented why.

This has nothing to do with someone's ability to read.

Why can't you accept the truth- the Clinton machine suppressed the vote, plain and simple through manipulation and cheating.

'We must bring them to heel'- Hillary Clinton

She brought them to heel all right.
