I've had nothing but trouble out of my sm802. Even after sending it back and getting a new one the ppm/tds measure is off and the ph has to be constantly calibrated.

Don't know if this will help, but I had a hannah pH tester that worked awesome. I had had it for a couple of years untill I broke it a few days ago. It was only a pH tester so I don't know about the all in ones, but I assume they are good.

I LOVE mine! Search this forum and read about it. No one else has a 5 year warranty. My pH probe broke because my local retailer didn't get the email to take the old style probe cleaning tool out of the kits in stock. I emailed Bluelab and had a free ($80) replacement pH probe waiting for me at my local retailer within 48 hours. You just can't argue with customer service like that.

I have the HANNA love it. It is the all in one black meter. Its all the labs have ever used the places I have worked, A bad meter for them means a recall, loss of revenue, and customers. They would loose more than I could ever and they trust them. That says a lot about their quality.

thanks for replies, bluelab seems solid as well as hannah
there are just so many different hannahs, all similiar but diff part numbers

well, i think i will try out the hannahs as they are slightly cheaper, and if i somehow drop in my reservoir, wont feel as bad as if it were the 230$ bluelab one lol
