Best Bay Area source for clones?

Hello everyone,

I'm just about ready to pick up a few clones for my next round. I am not very happy with the Berkeley Patients Group clones that I am finishing up with. I'm sure that I am partially to blame, but I have been dealing with powdery mildew, HUGE phenotype variations (were they even the same strain?) AND at least one hermie (which pollinated the crap out of them all).

So where would you recommend going in the Bay Area for the most stable, reliable, fungus-free, healthy clones?

I only need 3, and it would be great if they grew out very similar to each other. Isn't that why we use clones in the first place?

Yeah, I see that Harborside has a great selection, but I'm skeptical... I have read posts as recently as late 2009 saying that their quality and consistency were piss poor. How recently were you there?

last month. i have a couple strains from them that are doing well but a couple strains i got from them were weak and went into shock on the drive home(and then the urnklan that was already shoing flowers), they have a big selection but its hit or miss.

Apparently it's tough to get clones from blue sky/Oaksterdam Nursery, but do you suppose the quality is better?

More than anything, I just don't want to bring powdery mildew back into my grow space after I clean it all...

i asked the budtender at blue sky why all the clones he had lloked frail and he told me to come early when they open because thats when all the best ones get taken. next time i go im just going to grab seeds though so hopefully i can find a good pheno and just mother that one.

Harborside is hands down the best source of clones in the bay area. Nothing else is even close. The next best place is Organicann in Santa Rosa. That's the only place that comes close to harborside.

I've recently been to about 30 clubs all over northern Cali in a search for quality cuttings. I've looked at every club I could find with a decent selection of cuttings in Arcata, Eureka, Ukiah, Santa Rosa, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Santa Cruz, and Sacramento all in the past two weeks. Only 3 clubs impressed me. Harborside was the only one in the bay area. Bluesky has some fantastic genetics if you get their really early and their clones are all very strong and healthy, but it's still very hit or miss. They have some good strains and quite a few bad ones. Harborside has fantastic genetics 24/7 with the same quality of clone.

Hi, i really appreciate you posting your search results. One question: Which Harborside are you referring to? I have access to SJ Harborside but I have not been to the one in Oakland.

Oakland for sure. The strawberry cough cuttings from SJ are pretty legit though. The SJ cuttings aren't bad, they just don't have the same selection Oakland has, not even close. The Oakland shop gets about a half dozen AMAZING strains on a daily basis. I'm doing a few of them right now. I'm 6 weeks in right now and every strain I got from them is producing no doubt top shelf stuff without exception.

Their pineapple xpress @ ~5 weeks. As you can see, there is some serious crystal production going on here. It's legit shit. (a little bright in the room, so the color is fucked, but you get the idea)

with blue sky you have to get there BEFORE the shop opens. seems people are there 2 hours before the normal hours of operation to pick up the clones. I would call to check on these hours for clones (if someone will answer the damn phone lol.)

but so far like Dan said. HS-Oakland is the best. HS-San Jose will be turned around soon. a few of the managing staff will be transfered down to SJ to get it back on track to rival Oakland.
