as for newer game i would have to say
the newer grand theft auto games because you can do almost anything and you can play for hours with out ever haveing to do any missions and the cheat codes are bad ass for that game
raceing game because they are really fast moveing and useally really easy to get into

I'll +1 on Gears three. I just hope the multiplayer is more like the original than the sequel.
