I think enough with the hostilities now, no one is gaining anything, and bridges catch fire way too easily.
Lets limit our actions and words to those that make the world a better place.

But the hostilities are fun! They keep the mind sharp! Care to join in the fun? :) I'm sure your wordplay would be marvelous. :D

What hostilities ? Are we hostile to each other ?
(as per tone Crypt ... have you been abused/bullied as a child ?)
Hostility is never fun.

The difference between a sharp mind and a sharp tongue is intention.

I recommend mescaline for one's very first encounter with one's unveiled self. Mescaline loves newcomers, it wraps them in Indian blankets and offers them honey and warm milk. A moderate dose is as a reflection in a clear green pool a large one is a flying swimming trekking adventure through one's own imagination. Mescaline knows who you are and enjoys your company.

But a sharp mind knows not to use it's tongue. Shall I be flattered by your use of my quotation as signature?

I did as well. The reality is that methods for growing them in one's kitchen hand't been invented yet.

Hello all, I'm planning on trying something new this summer and I was wondering your thoughts are on what I should try. I'm looking mainly to enjoy myself and connect with the world a bit as I feel my way through a new experience. If I learn something about myself or my surroundings that's a bonus but not essential for this first time out. I'm in a pretty good place in life right now, but like anyone I have my demons and my weaknesses - but I'm confidently aware of them. So I'm a little anxious to try a hallucinogen but I feel ready nonetheless. I have tried salvia and it didn't scare me, but it was far too disorienting and short to learn anything from or enjoy.

I'd like to do it outside on a warm summer day. I'm uncertain as to whether I want to do it with someone else or by myself (though I'd certainly let a friend know where I was going and what I was up to.) So my question is what's the best choice for a trepidatious first timer who's ready to try a new substance? I'm particularly interested in LSD, shrooms, and mescaline, though if you have any other suggestions I'd be curious to hear them.

marijuana:weed:for this op...marijuana only....lol

My first experience with hallucinogens was Salvia. About a 30 minute trip (I really got my bang for my buck out of it.) It was cool and all but I could never seem to trip again and it's not a "real" trip. It won't take you places and you won't have the same experience that other drugs will bring.

While I have never done LSD, swim did 3g magical shrooms while camping on the 3rd of April. And it was quite the experience.
LSD may be to potent for a first time users and may be more likely for a bad trip. (A bad trip on mushrooms can be easily fixed with weed)

As for peyote, the trip takes alot longer to hit you, so I wouldn't recommend that until you had your cherry popped with shrooms.

And if you can't find shrooms go with LSD. (It's cheap and it's available when out of shroom season)

i think lsd is way better for a first time. most people are more prone to flipping out on shrooms. maybe its just the nausea or something that sets off bad vibes, but i think lucy or even 2cb is the best for a beginner.

Assuming the beginner is relatively familiar with the potency of either shrooms or LSD, LSD would be a better choice, for the reasons you just said, bandit. I was also thinking 2cb would be a great "gateway" hallucinogen, but it is much harder to find than shrooms or acid. I find the hallucinations were very situational... If i wanted things to seem normal, they were. If I starred at things long enough, and listened to trippy music, things got trippy.

I think AMT because is is really light in hallucinations. It was my first hallucinogen.
I still use it now for getting my mind cooled
