Custom order some Nova F16's, your going to save SOOOOO much money, you can totally customize the spectral layout, the lights are equipped with daisychain feature so you can just connect one light to the next to the next without the need to plug each one in individually, and they have really really really high grade components (fans, heatsinks, switches, modular design, zener diodes, magnification lenses...... the whole package) Ill go grab mine and post some pictures so you can see just what im talking about.

http://www.ledinnovationdesign.com/sl-tips.html. i have this one. Around 1400 dollars. With the probloom addon. It makes it a 330w instead of 300w. It is best with ScrOG format. 4x4 coverage at 24"

Great information.. I am not really a DYI guy but am sure I have a friend or two that would put something together for me.. You mentioned Cree and Phillips LED bulbs as being top notch.. I understand the need for red and deep red bulbs, and am surprised that a soft white may even be better.. If I were to build my own do you know where I could purchase all the components ?? The 12'x12' room is just a start, and if it works out I plan on expanding.. By using less electricity I can manage not only the spike in my bill, but reduce the heat signature.. It is interesting that what I thought I knew about LED's before I posted this thread is nothing since reading all the responses.. So many to choose from with each having it's own unique qualities.. I understand the need to position the LED lighting right above the plant to get proper coverage, and even though the Mfgr. says the footprint is say 3'x3', it is probably more like 2'x2'... By the way I started this by saying I had $20k to invest in lights.. That does not mean I have to spend it ALL..... It means I want top quality equipment to produce a top quality product.. There is alot of competition to supply the Calif. dispensaries and everyone wants to be a grower.. To grow on a commercial scale takes alot of hard work and is not easy.... But man is it FUN......

Yep... Actually just came to edit lol. Thank you though, not quite sure about their lower wattage "kits" though.

Seems like a gimmick... But that fuckin 300 is stunning!! Would be sooooo nice for 3-4 cheaper :P

Yes your touching on the learning curve that comes with switching to LED's with the whole how high over the plants and wattage per square foot, most important above all though is having the proper spectral layout in order to grow the plants well in the first place, which can be quite difficult to nail down which is why some lights fail and others succeed sometimes. Its also a kind of interesting idea to ask oneself as to whether or not multiple small pannels spread out over shorter distances would be more adept at best light coverage vs large panels more spread out. Also dont expect the LED's to produce the exact same kind of buds your HPS does, theyre going to be different (perhaps smaller, but more resinous and compact). My favorite aspect of LED's are the amazing effect they have on the overall temperature of the grow space, its an enormous improvement, I also love the cool colors they can produce in the bud.

So these look fucking amazing.... Adjustable spectrum... Weren't we all (Fran, puff, psua) just talking about reimmitating the sunrise and sunset???!!

Any idea on prices?!
I will actually be beta testing this light once it arrives, obviously will have to give honest feedback and the price will be in half considering it isn't the final product (rolling the dice lol) but the simulation of sunrise to sunset on a pc with software is just toooo intriguing with my i.t. background ...And I've tried magnum plus, apollo 16, and a chinese direct hydrogrowled all with power failures besides the magnum plus ( good light but expensive) sooo I'm hoping fingers crossed this light will be the "bee's knees" lol

Dude let me know!!

I've emailed them twice now, asking for some more details on the setup: heatsinks, drivers, driven @, etc etc, including their Testimonial Program.

Notta... kindve getting irritated that their service isn't quite up to par.
