Waddup growers! i currently have a 2x4 tent and am purchasing a 5x5 gorilla grow tent. i have 2 “600w” leds in my 2x4. i honestly am not impressed with those leds . i’m going to mainly running photos in the 5x5 and autos in the 2x4 .

looking to get the new tent , new inline infinity , and the lights for each tent .

any suggestions or input is great thank you in advance ! happy growing !

Well the prob is that they likely aren't even close to 600 watts.

I am going with Grow Lights Australia for my next lights. Look for some of their threads here..great people.
A lot of growers like some of the following quality leds:
Amare
HLG
Timber
A lot of Mars Hydro growers here

The key is to make sure you have enough actual wattage at the wall with a quality light. In a 5x5 I would do 900 to 1000 ACTUAL led watts.
I am getting 2 of these:
This is their DIY kit and you need to purchase drivers separately.

2 of the 470 watt kits would do you well for flowering in a 5x5

Personally I would want maybe a couple hundred more watts in a 5x5. If I was going for a 5x5 flowering canopy.
It would flower a 5x5 just fine, I just would want to be more in the 30ish watt per sq ft without CO2 and 40ish with.

I know a lot of guys here love the 650r. The main difference I believe if I remember correctly between it and it's earlier cousin using the samsung LM301h diodes is the addition of the 660.

This one doesn't seem to be that different, but costs a few hundred less:

you could go with just one of those or add a 300R lspec from them as well in conjunction.

The G8LED C3 from dormgrow is more than enough for a 5x5. Produces amazing results. And puts off hardly ANY heat

There are, but honestly the 650 would probably do you fine especially without CO2, but the lights aren't that big you just even it out. Hang the long one to cover a smaller area. I just have so far in my 2 flowering areas shot for at least 30-40 watts per sq ft. Personally.

i was doing a lot of reading yesterday into watts per sq ft and you make so much sense . so i’m looking for an extra light now , i really like that 650r but even the one you sent me for a couple hundred cheaper and get another light to add wattage

I heard you mention Mars and spider . They are good entry level lights . But if you have the budget I’d go big or go home from the jump . This way you won’t need to upgrade later . I have Mars hydro . I ended up using multiple lights instead of one good one . Pros and cons to both , I see . Either way any of the brands listed will get you a good quality light. Good luck with your grow man !

They are looking awesome man! Happy growing ! i was looking into the g8 i love the style . of those kinda lights . my only question is what is that 2nd light you have . what’s the brand and wattage ?!
Thats just my mars hydro TS1000. Mh sent me a tent and light and I just took it all down for my 4x8 so I decided to keep using the ts1000

I spent well over 1000 on lights and was running 5 lights at one time in one tent before I finally upgraded to just 1 solid light. Well worth it.

HLG scorpion diablo , trust me , its nothing but the best for a 5x5 , 650r needs more height so unless your tent is taller than 9ft expect it to be dialed down.
