I've seen some interesting results with LEDs, but you have to do your research and make sure they are high-powered LED's, not the smack-ass knock-offs from China.

i got one 400w metal halide runnin on two plants soon to be 4 and they LOVE THIS LIGHT!!!! run HPS on flowering 400w would be all u need...or hell ive been hearing about the ceramic metal halides and they say that they r the new way to growing. use a 400w cmh for flower and veg!!! dont have to have two ballasts.. save some money.. and i would say they hell with flouros...use those for your clones or your starters...if u spend money now...its worth it after first harvest...shit i havent even reach my flower stage yet n these lights are the way to go compared to the cheap way...buddy of mine been doin sea of green with flouro on veg and hps on flower for over 8 years...thats the cheapest.. most efficient way to grow if u want to grow some good, dank, full, buds

Yea, go for the 400w hps instead of leds... You'll thank me later.

Better yet, screw a son agro 430 bulb into that socket and watch em explode with growth. ;-)

I have some questions. I am using flrsnts for vegetative and a 250 w for flwering. im using a sea of green method. I was wondering if the flrscnts with an LED would be enough for 18 or so clones to vegetate and keep a mother alive. Is it the proper spectrum?? and how many should i use? right now i have 120 w of flrscnts that i cn surround them with

you can keep clones and moms under flours. you need to check the spectum on your lights. 5000k min for veg. I use 40w tubes 6500k for side light in veg.
