Best Modern Breeders

Who are the best breeders making shit today? After fucking around with a lot of mediocre weed I only want to buy seeds from the best breeders, and since thousands of people have already been through millions of beans, I figured I would ask the community's current opinions. To clarify, I am asking about breeders that consistently have good gear, not someone that just has one dank strain like super lemon haze or lsd.

I will start off with Bodhi because I have grown his shit and I hear nothing but good things about his gear.

I would say Sannie bohdi breeders boutique and gage are all good and from what i hear, a few others Ive heard good things about but I'm not as sure on are grandaddy purp and female seeds ...sadly I've got no personal experience so take it with a grain of salt....but I read a lot:)......schuylar convinced me to try gdp so that and bodhis sunshine daydream will be my first 2 seed purchases....when it comes

both of my outdoor Female seeds (auto bubble and auto ak) and sweet seeds (green poison reg) were either eaten by animals or taken by someone else.. 100% germination on those

advanced seeds auto skunk mass is great! it definitely had 14% thc or more as stated... smelled almost identical to skunk and had a very sweet taste... one of my favorites for sure.. 100% germination rate.... Topped it once and ended up with a plant around 18" tall that yielded 14 grams dried. I was doing a topping experiment... I imagine the skunk mass would have been better yielding untopped. Maybe LST next time.

Female seeds C99 and female seeds bubblegummer going currently (100% germination)... very bushy little things that love the LST and supercropping. Bubblegummer is smelling more potent in veg than the c99. C99 has mostly sativa leaf structure and the bubblegummer is mostly indica but has some sativa vigor and stretching going on.

World of Seeds afghan kush is looking beautiful! very quick growing plant and its pretty bushy! very smelly after only a couple weeks old.. I've heard nothing but good about this strain.

DNA lemon OG kush... very fast to flower and very stretchy.. I did no training but I would imagine topping is the way to go for OG kush...

Northern Light Blue delicious seeds northern light blue... very bushy little plant... not a ton of smell during veg..

So far I don't have a ton of experience in growing certain breeds (been growing mostly bag seed for practice)... Out of my experience though the Skunk Mass, Afghan Kush, and Bubblegummer are probably the biggest winners... seeds for around 10 bucks single pick off of attitude.

Its so easy to find a keeper in a pack of Bodhi gear that unless I plan to do F2s, rarely do I pop more than 4 beans, and I have yet to regret running any of them.
He has incredible cuts and a natural breeder's sense of which plants can really make some magic together, and he's definitely not greedy with his pricing.
The best of my seed plants that didn't come from Bodhi came from Sannie's, Dynasty, or e$cob@r. There's plenty more awesome breeders out there, but I am definitely going to throw my hat into the 'anyone who just makes feminized seeds isn't a real breeder because the selection process is stupid easy and you can't refine the lines' ring.
Don't get me wrong, feminized seeds are nifty, and super useful if you have (and care about?) a really low plant limit, or if you really don't think you can personally tell males and females apart by preflowers, or just don't want to waste space growing males that you will later have to cull; but essentially making femme seeds is just mucking around with other people's breeding work. It's the breeding equivalent of a mash up.

Seconding Bodhi (shhhhhh, I want his beans! It's a secret! ) . No more RP/DNA for me granted they were good plants just don't come close to Bodhi fire. Like he said only need to pop half a pack and you are never disappointed.

Now companies I am interested in but haven't tried, and others who seem to know their shit point out CBG, Ace, 303, sannies, breeders choice and dynasty.

Wouldn't touch tga with a 10ft Pole. I've smoked enough and seen how crappy a garden they can make. No thanks to hermis, inconsistency, and low yeilds. Yea your weed taste like candy but if I wanted candy I'd fucking eat some. I want smoke and effects. Flavor is not high on my list of qualities in a plant. For me as a grower I want first potency and effects, second consistent phenos being stable, third yield, flowing time fourth, and finally taste.

ETA: originally the classics such as mr nice, sensi, and serious seeds all have a good track record

Oh, see, now this is much more interesting to me. I would list the qualities I want in this order:

1. Potency and nature of high
2. Flavor and smell
3. Stability in terms of 'does the strain give me what the breeder's description said it would'
4. Yield
5. Flowering time (as long as it's 13-14 weeks or less, I really can't run anything longer)

I don't really look for specific flavors, I like to have cuts across the spectrum of available flavors and tastes, but anything that doesn't have a fairly unique and pronounced flavor or smell is probably going to get pitched. Even though I mainly prefer to smoke flowers, I make a lot of edibles and extracts, which is why potency is important (more potent = higher ratio of extract : plant matter) and so I like them to all say "wow" in one way or another. I'd never buy a strain just for its flavor, but if a strain with excellent parentage is supposed to have a particularly distinct taste (i.e. the very real and nasty roadkill meaty death doritos taste of bodhi's Skunk91, ) then I am more likely to grow it.

Dynasty gear will not disappoint you. Prof P takes his work very seriously, and in my personal experience he does not put a cross out there if it isn't top notch. However, the company will be changing names soon and many of their strains will be discontinued after the current stock is gone, there's a thread in their forums on both the seeddepot and breedbay about what is and isn't being discontinued.

Oh Dynasty is done by professorp? I did Not know that. Very cool, makes me certainly more interested in purchasing some. I should touch base with him.

What I meant by flavor is, yes it is important but I find too many people seemingly breeding for those reasons. Can't tell you how many grape strains I've smoked that were a complete letdown. Maybe if i didn't have a tolerance, i could get high but the shit is weak. That's just an example.

Yea Bodhi's gear has flavor and smell. My goji reeks of berries and had a very pungent odor. I first and foremost want potency and effect. Which she does deliver (Just wish she would yield more!!!)
I'd adopt your stability definition and fold it into mine. Breeders descriptions should be somewhat accurate.

What lines are being discontinued at Dynasty?

List of Discontinued Strains

-Ms Universe 2012

-Cosmic Brain 2011

-Drizella

-Mochalope v2

-Huckleberry Kush 2011-2012

-Blue Heron

-OR Huckleberry 2013

-Crater Lakev4

-SSH f4

-Critical Mass f3

And so note that its just the 2012 Ms. Universe that is being discontinued, not the strain itself.
They also still have the SSH line itself, just not the parents for the f4, I guess.
