Best PH / EC meters?

Alright, I'm sick and tired of Blue Lab. We have 6 of them and we're constantly recalibrating them. I've even sent probes back to blue lab that wouldn't hold calibration, just for them to tell me they're fine. Any opinions on the best meters? I run a commercial grow so durability and dependability is a must, cost I don't care all that much about.

I have the same problem. Hm unit. Calibrate it perfectly and it works one time. Very next time my dechlorinated tap water which is always 7+\- .2 is suddenly 9.5

@Merlin34

HANNA!
Look up the "pro" models and spend a few more bucks and get LAB quality meters.

I worked for a drug company growing Yew bush's for Taxol.....I was in charge of that huge operation and ALL we used was Hanna. Same thing for the drug companies labs = HANNA!

Go to "products" and look at "portable meters" NOT "testers"

my bluelab guardian has been awesome.

sounds like your workers are too rough with them
Guardians are my worst ones. The ppms are like 50 to 100 off constantly. I have to use hand held units to check the guardians. It's so bad that we always use 2 meters because we can't trust the blue labs. And if we're too rough they're junk, cause we're careful with them.

I'm not recommending them but I bought a cheapo one from eBay that looks like an oakton multi for $24 and its 2 years old and working great. After going through 2 Bluelab and 2 Hanna this is nice.

Bluelab...lol,,, ya'alls funny.....I had trouble with a Bluelab someone brought onto the Farm last year.....$300 special soil probe over the same cheesy Guardian. Had trouble from day 1......Took the big buck probe off and put it on one of the Hanna's on hand....Man that sucker has been so stable!

When you start talking a "Pro" level meter. It will only do pH and Temp, some will do ORP. Starting price's $350 and you still have to buy a probe. That will run you about $125 to over $250!

The Bluelab hand held most of you buy are mass produced for the home market and are NOT Lab quality units......The quality control in their assembly is kinda slip shot to say the least.

You CAN get lab quality Bluelabs - expect to pay about the same as Hanna Lab quality, starting a bit lower.

Let me repeat $25 and two years old :). After the last Bluelab crapped out I thought WTF, let's try it. Honestly it's worked as good as any so far. Calibrate once a week and it's usually ok or out by .1, perhaps I lucked out but I'll be buying another when I need it.
Look at this on eBay:

Digital LCD PH Meter Soil Aquarium Pool Water Wine Urine Pen Tester Analyzer NEW .......haven't tested my urine though :o

You got lucky, many do!

He's Commercial! Going plant to plant and having 6 meters available - No space for "lucky"!

Besides the options he'll find available, like bluetooth data connectivity makes for WAY easy record keeping, via data direct to PC from the floor!

98% of you guys and gals don't need that......Some of us think it's better then sliced bread!

Oh didnt realize he was doing large :o! Yes go with a proper one then. And ya kinda figured I got lucky but still I'll be hard pressed to spend $100+ on a piece of shit, lasts a year meter :(. Im on my 5th meter and all have been over $100 except the one listed.
