Best Place to Buy?

Okay well i'm going to be shoppin around soon and i've heard some negatives about htg (plus their site is down) and i'm lookin for opinions. what is the best place to buy grow lights? i want quality as does everyone so lay em on me. i've heard of plant light hydroponicz but i'm just confused when i go to that site. haha i'm into it but when it starts coming down to buying single components i'm lost. haha i'm lookin for a good air cooled 600w hps with digital ballast and maybe some quality nutrients. any suggestions, please!! or if you could help me navigate the plantlighthydro store then maybe we could get somewhere :peace:Loghead

HTG is just making some changes but you can still call then using their 800 number … but if you use Google you will find far more places to pick from than you will ever look through.

Try Google .. more people should before asking what and where about different things and relying on what other people's opinions of deals and quality and value are rather than their own.

oh believe me, i've googled, yahooed, and done just about everything i can when it comes to my own research. but when every time i get the same thing on the website, "OH YEAH GREAT QUALITY PRODUCTS" i cant believe that shit everytime. so what i do i do, i ask opinions. and when i got the people on this website tellin me to run back into the circle i just came from, its not much help. thank you for your input but thats kind of why i go on these forums sometimes, to get opinions and feedback. i guess i can't rely on the site for everything when you've done all that already where do you turn? sorry me just rambling agains, what is it with weed and rambling? anyways thanks.:peace:Loghead

At some point in life you need to learn to make your own decisions and chose what you believe is best for you.

Do you go to a restaurant and ask people sitting at different tables what you should order?

When you buy shoes do you ask another customer what shoes you should buy?

If and when you buy a car or a house will you ask strangers to tell you what to buy and where to buy it?
 
If you search using "purchase grow lights online" you only find 1,950,000 options to pick from. If you cannot find one you are comfortable with why would you ever be able to feel comfortable relying on some stranger or some stranger’s opinions?
 
If you Googled and could not find one single business you felt good about and comfortable with then you have some real serious issues to deal with ... like OCD maybe.

Now is probably not the best time to be ordering from HTGsupply...there is one guy on here who had to wait over two weeks before they finally shipped his stuff...


Yes and after I called HTG to see what was up and posted the 800 phone number in the thread he called and was like me told of the changes taking place and he said in his case the light he ordered, a 250-watt, was also out of stock so they upgraded him to a 400-watt light for the same price that they had in stock.

alright well thanks anyways. i wasn't trying to be crazy or nothing and no when i go to a restaurant i don't ask people what they're eating. and you have to remember GROWING SHIT is alot different than ordering food, its a lot bigger a decision. idk i'll figure something out, maybe i should stop askin opinions if people want to stop giving them. theres a reason for the forums, i'll make my own decisions i wanted feedback thats what i thought this forum was for, feedback opinions, etc. not for some guy to tell me to make my own decisions i could go anywhere for that. but either way i hope no hard feelings i hope you understand my point :peace:Loghead

Did he reach them on their 866-710-GROW #? I'm trying to resolve an incorrect shipment for the past two weeks but having no luck reaching anyone recently. Tried calling the PA store but they couldn't help. Suggested I call between 9am-11am EST.

That is the number .. I just dialed it after reading where you said you have had a hard time getting through and they did answer, in about 4 or 5 rings.


While I doubt you made the error some people will press the number zero (0) instead of the letter (O) like they need to and end up talking to someone other than they expected and then assume HTG has slammed its doors.

Again I doubt you did that but some people do make that mistake when a letter (O) is used in a phone number.

Personally I hate when places use words for their phone number. It always increases the risk of a wrong number.

i use htg, all season garden and brewing supply in nashville tn. and there was one other up in michigan i cant remember the name of it might come to me but allseason is preaty good fast shipping not sure what there lightselection is like but for most my needs they got it covered

Just to follow up, I was able to get them on the phone and they have resolved my issue. As long as there's no suprises when I open the box, I'll continue to use them even though they could have handled this transitioN better in my mind.

lol stealthhydro.com ( the name ) sounds like its ran out of some dudes garage.. there prices are too high too imho

I eventually received my order after about a month of emails & phone calls. They failed to throw in an extra set of bulbs as they said they would. Don't think they "forgot" on purpose or anything, but it's still put me off of ordering from them when there's soooo many other options out there. HTG really handled this transition poorly and it will be a while before I get back into business with them.
