aw dude, you gotta google it, add icmag to the search if you have to, its Krusty's Freedom Buckets, and you'll see variations etc. Also you can find archived the info to those buckets. Krusty the clown was a great ole grower that could mouth with the best of em on the boards, had many haters but you couldn't argue with his results, and I believe that is big bud he's growin and that system is like 10 or more yrs old. Then he decided to go back to normal life, believe he was a carpenter or such by trade.
Ok , I def can not dispute those pics. Those are massive. But I will say that the strain did kinda ruin it for me .. big bud?? That's stuff is pretty crappy bud , even if it is an amazing yielder. I grew an auto big bud x northern lights i think from dinafem but I am not sure. Horrible!!! Did i mention i had to flip lights as well ?? I have terrible luck with autos tho . I've only grown two. Auto big bud x nl & auto pineapple express. Both were horrible lol neither where actually autoflowers as advertised..big bud to me shouldn't even be a marketed strain imo. It tastes bad, like mids at best. That's the same kinda bud I get from growing mex bagseed. I'm sure ppl will argue me but i believe its a reason u dont see big bud in crosses anymore or in any dispensary or anywhere lol

I live in a spooky place, it just might go legal federally before my state allows it LOL plus I have 2 schools within 1000 ft of me so I'm just not into taking chances. Also considering I've been busted before, I'll wait until the runs over to get it

lol I can relate .. its not too crazy where I live anymore as far as tolerance for mj. But not as relaxed as I would like.

In the last two years my number one plant I've found was from Cannaventure. Fem seeds. Arcata Ghost. Clone only (Arcata Trainwreck × Ghost OG) shes a trainwreck leaner. She makes branch breaking side nugs of super sticky, dense, loud gooey goodness. She yields amazing. Taste is superb. She taste just like real deal old skool trainwreck with a touch lemon candy OG notes on the exhale. Two hits and you wanna do outside shit and enjoy sunshine. Hit it 2-3 more times and sink into the couch and get lost in a TV show. She finishes about right at 67 days. Best time I've found. I've taken her at 63, 67, and 75. I done them all pretty close. I flowered the mother plant first and she looked so good halfway through, I threw two more clones in flower that I took from veg. Before she even finished. All have been cures atleast 30 days. Some longer now. 67 is the money spot for my tastes. His gear has tossed a few herms here n there. But idk 100% if it was the gear or growers error. Some of them that got herms I respect as a grower. And have talked to them for a good while on here. But weird things happen these days the way stuff is made and chucked n whatnot. It's all a roll of the dice anyway.

Shes below.

Second is from GPS. No matter my feelings towards Gu which everyone knows what that is. I have a keeper cut of Cookies n Chem it's my number #4 of the pack. The only one really worth keeping. All other werent even really worth finishing. But anyway. It's one of the best cookie crosses I have ever run. Period. Out of all the crosses with cookies. And I've run a ton. She yields like no cookie every. Absolute yield monster. Of cookie flavored nugs with chemmy on the backend that lingers. But not too powerful to cover up the cookies. It's really creamy tasting. And will put you to sleep. I'm a seasoned smoker, and it will nod me out. In the evening. It extremely narcotic. One ofthe most narcotic smokes I've ever found. I have to credit where credit is due. Everything stardawg touches is decent but it does take its toll. Bc it covers most things in crosses. There are alot of stardawg dom plants in every pack. Pretty much. And it takes forever to finish. And throws white pistils forever. But that can fixed with emmerson effect and different spectrums used towards the end of flowering and shorting day hours to 11/13 or 10/14 is even better I've found with my cut you can see all the white pistils in the first run chop, that was 71 days. I had to chop bc of my setup. Perpetual sortve.. I've run her 6 times now. And i still love her before bed.
She will turn solid black with colder temps.

First run CnC #4

Both runs in 2gals soil mix. Heavy perlite. 2 to 1 mix of perlite to soil. Yielded 6+ zips. Under DIY mid power white strips.
Gorgeous!! That's a keeper for sure! Atleast aesthetically. If she smokes how she looks , I could only imagine and I've looked a cannaventure a lil bit too. They are a bit pricey and I've never seen any of their gear before u posted this pic. But very impressive. Did u continue to buy gear from them or did u switch up after the arcata ghost

U sound experienced , and say that you have chucked pollen with good results. so to get back to my original question . Which seed co. Have u had best results with? And which co. And strain did u deem worthy to begin ur breeding/chucking or w.e u wanna call it?
I've been gardening for almost fifty years and growing cannabis off and on for forty. That's my experience. I've made dozens of crosses and thousands of seeds. Regular and feminized. I don't use fancy nutes and I don't buy the latest hyped strain. I buy regular seeds and focus on landrace strains. My recent splurge was on everything I could get from The Real Seed Company. I also have a large selection of ACE, some Cannobiogen, and Sensi. I've been happy with everything I've grown from them.

I'm not calling myself a breeder and neither should a good portion of these seed companies.

Mandala has some excellent strains that are all landrace crosses. Most of them go pretty cheap. My favorite was Sadhu but it's been discontinued for 7 or 8 years. The Mandala #1 is amazing too. Really everything I have tried from them has been great. The Satori is a really nice sativa, but don't pull it too early or it will give you migraines and anxiety.

I actually have a Mandala Purple Paro Valley flowering in the tent right now. The buds are getting so big and heavy that they're falling over. I need to get them staked up. One branch was pollinated with a male from a Durban + Pakistani Chitral Kush cross I've been working on. It's loaded with seeds.

lol yea, uh, that kinda wasn't the point, I believe that was when big bud first come out, but I think the point was being Krusty could def grow. And that bucket design was all him with the air compressor. etc. And he could handle haters on the boards. Its just a blast from the past, hindsite is always 20/20. Wasn't meant to be analyzed, lmfao. Look at all those old strains that don't hold up anymore, but dollars to donuts, the Clown could get er done. AK, etc. lol, But yea, he was a growin machine. I think someone had modified his bucket somewhat, but its pretty self explainatory, lol. Anyhow, just a throwback. I"ll let you get back to turboposting, lol.

That sounds delicious. Never tried out the Purple Paro Valley but Durban/PCK is one of my favorite combinations.

Is Purple Paro Valley the same or similar to the Bhuthanese Thimpu that Malberry used to sell? Looks a lot like the best of the ones I ran.

All I know is what is from the Mandala website. I have a pack of their Kalichakra I'm going to pop a few of when I get the chance. I have too much stuff going on right now though.

This will be my first Purple Paro Valley and I'm looking forward to harvest. Did you make your own cross of Durban/PCK? I know Tropical Seed Company is selling the cross and calling it Durbakistan. They want $10 a seed for F1's. https://www.tropicalseedscompany.com/shop/tropical-seeds-co/61-durbakistan.html
I ran some from Beanhoarder and some that someone sent me in with a bunch of other stuff awhile back. Maybe ndnguy but not sure. I think he just sent the pure PCK line that Loran worked. I still have some of Loran's beans, I think. I haven't had space to make seeds in years but that's about to change. Quit growing for awhile due to a vindictive baby mama and legal issues but we just went medical.

Lmaoo at turboposting. And dude def had his stuff dialed in to get results like that. I have to do more googling to completely understand the theory behind an nft pot. From what I see it's like some sort of soil/dwc hybrid pot. And strain has to be mentioned whenever discussing yield. If we had a competition to see who gets highest gpw. and u grew skunk , critical mass, big bud or something similar and I choose to grow cookies, og , or pre 98 bubba. I'd be at a pretty serious disadvantage imo

I'm not big on the nute thing either . Learned along time ago . They are all pretty much same thing with diff label. So now I just get whatever is on sale. Now I cant lie , I still fall for a hype strain every now and again. But often I have tried the finished product 1st. Now whether what they sell in seed form matches what I bought on the street..... now that's another story. Amazing u been growing so long .. I kno u must have acquired some serious knowledge over that time. Much respect

Somehow this turned into a vintage weed breeding thread. I'm not mad tho lol Xtsho just said he has been growing 40+ yrs. And I've heard a few other ppl in this thread mention they have been growing for a similar amount of time. U guys are shutting me the F up. Never thought I was a master grower by any means or even that experienced, but there aren't too many growers where I'm at. And the few growers that are around are very underground and secretive. I can remember a few yrs ago going to the hydro shop (when ppl did that before amazon killed hydro shops) dudes in there where always so nervous/sketchy at the same time lol. Everybody shopping but looking over their shoulder wondering if the other customer is a cop lol. So nobody ever talked or had open discussions like this. And the few ppl I come across who are interested in growing now are usually noobs that know less than me.

I might have some knowledge but I'm still just basically a hobbyist. I've found that simple is better when growing cannabis. I use the same methodology I use for other plants. Nothing special, just what they need. The plants do the rest on their own. Give them what they need and leave them alone. It's that simple.

I follow the same principals. However I do have friends that will not accept that what works just fine for every other damn plant in the garden, will work just fine for a pot plant as well. Most of the Canna nutrient companies have done a massive disservice to growers by convincing them that they must have all 67 bottles and sacrifice a first born to the grow gods for a good harvest.
