Best Soil Liquid Fert To Use

i am a new grower, growing in soil inside currently using mg, the plants are doing fine and it does not look like they need anything yet... however i have no fert to add when if i will need to add some... what would be the best for a newbie brand, npk ratios, liquid or powder or ? i would prefer something i could mix with water, this way i can just add it when i water them

id' suggest you go to a hydro store and buy some decent nutrients i like canna. if you don't have the money or a hydro store use tomato nutes. make sure you add something different for flower ... tbh it'd be easyer to just use canna nutes. or something of that standard. if you are looking for the best product your gona have to look around, but it's gona be more than just 1 product. you need separate things for different affects on ur plants. ill give you a hint, all in all you can get away with spending about 15 quid on nutes and get an ok job. or spend more and do better. NEVER spend more than 25 quid on anything!!! lots of stuff will rip you off online with fake reviews n shit.

A quick recommendation for ferts would be either the Fox Farm or DynaGro products... I presently use FF with decent success but have picked up DynaGro to switch to shortly due to some very good tests by one of the most informative users on this forum, Homebrewer. Search his name on the forums and read his posts about DynaGro and I think you will agree that they are solid nutes.

i figured liquid would be easier, just mix with water and use it when you water the plants right.... so dyna gro and a three part system?

The Botanicare Pure Blend Pro line has done me well. Their Cal-Mag isn't a bad idea either. I'd stay away from any sort of flavor enhancers or things along those lines. Seem like gimmicks to me.

I am using the lucas formula, which seems to be working. Google lucas formula and see if that works for you.

Yea, I don't like the idea of flavor enhancers either.

A good fert for soil is Neptune fish emulsion...cheap and works..has all the stuff u need to get great results.....

ive seen some good ideas in this thread but some to stay away from only because of price and the amount of product you will have to buy to use the whole line up ( fox farm)

if you want a good cheap 2 part liquid fert i would go with floranova grow and bloom, its cheap, lasts long and its all you need in 2 bottles, also it is ph stable

AN nutes are one of the most expensive out theri, not to mention they have a billion products you have to buy to get all the essential elements.

man im growing two plants with MG as well...its been one month now....i transplanted two into 3 gallon from root cubes like last two weeks ago....i ve added garden lime into MG soil, mixed and half of perlite bag as well to drainage good. it seems grow healthy...till recently like few days i started to notice that my two plant arent growing anymore....(still in veg stage) and i checked the ph is 7.0 i think its normal. and i see the dead spot on leaves...very tiny...man...this weekend ill stop by hydro to get cal-mg for good. It hopefully it will work soon and resume grow fast

I really don't see this as a good reason to not use it. Why should price matter if it grows good pot?

i have a three part general hydroponics grow bloom and whatever the micro thingy is supposed to be called in their brand name.... can i just mix that for soil fert? or is there a difference between soil fert and hydroponic nutes.

man, I never thought about that way...hopefully someone will answer this one...but i have feeling that hydro s fertilizer is stronger way than non hydro fertz ? that could kill plant? but im interesting to know if it works?

well i haven't added any ferts yet... its been like a month or so, i was told to wait till the leaves show a paleness coming on to add fert. and then i was going to test out the hydroponic nutes at maybe a weaker strength.... if you check out my journal, i have just updated it now with some current pics. taken today err yesterday i think.... so unless some one can say NO don't do that! I guess I will try it out and keep my journal up to date with some fresh progress pictures along the way.

its not a reason NOT to use it is a reason to save some money and time, it takes about ten minutes to mix up all the ferts you have to buy with FF and AN just to get your feed down and again it is spendy for something you could get for less then half the price, and do in half the time, im not saying these nutes are bad im saying for the price they are.
MG can and has grown great pot and it barely cost anything. so let me ask you, would you rather spend 150 bucks for nutes or spend 4 and get the same if not better results?

i would use hydro nutes only in hydro unless the bottle says it can be used in both soil and hydro. im not sure the difference in soil and hydro nutes except almost all the hydro nutes are the consistency of water to help not clog systems and what not, soil nutes tend to be a lil more gunky IMO

Just do some research, too many high priced hyped ferts out there, and there are plenty of low priced or reasonable ferts available. Dyna-Gro is a good example $55 a gallon and will last quite a while, they have flower & bloom, so $110 and if you arent growing more than say 6 plants, will probably last you 3-6 harvests.

Fert manufactures will show rates for hydro and rates for bio. Mine do anyways.
Also if you didn't want to spends lots of money something as simple as jacks classic fertilizers work fine. I have cal mag but use Epsom salts in veg as I don't veg very long. I notice too in the first flowering weeks, even if I fert at half strength some of the plants burn. Mb it's cuz my soil is pretty rich to begin with or the plants need an expanded root system to handle the fertilizers. I really dont know till i do a controlled study this winter. Just one thing...don't over fert if you can help it
