Honestly, I would try a Grand Daddy Purple or a nice Blueberry both are strong Indicas. Very good for thinking so to speak. My personal favorite is Cheese (UK Exodus strain). Hope this helps.

Personally I would think an indica would be best for this application as well. I don't know what a heavy sativa would do for your mindfulness, but I think it might make it harder to focus and allow the mind to control the self again easier.

Thanks, guys, will pick up more information about strains you mentioned.

Speed Queen does sound excellent, however I found Mandalas more indica Sadhu brilliant for meditating (without really trying). :weed:

Also look into Durga Mata and the indica leaning phenos of the Original Flo.

You have smoked Durga mata? Picked up some information, effect lasts long and is very relaxing. It sounds great, but without experiencing in life, how it is, you can`t really know, will it be good for meditation.

Kali Mist - Serious Seeds: like an up-opiate, dreamy yet focused.

I've always had trouble getting strains to finish on time so taking on a 14 week strain was daunting for me, my KM clones usually finish about 16 weeks hydro/17 weeks soilless. It grows easily but stretches incredibly in hydro, I had a 1.5" clone that ended up close to 36". In soilless stretch is not so bad, but its still a sativa stretch. The buds are loose and airy in hydro and are so encrusted with trichomes that they seem that they would break if bent. The soilless buds are tighter and not as crusty. Fox farm liquids and solubles, hygrozome, Dark Energy, Liquid Karma, Kool Bloom, Overdrive.

The high is ... delisious. It's so beautiful and pleasant that I crave it more than the other strains and go through this strain at a record pace. It's a floaty dreamy high, like an up narcotic. Nothing maters, everything is OK. It reminds me of when I had my elbows operated on and got a hundred percocet with each operation. Like an opiate nothing is wrong, but I can do things, not just sit and look out the window. I use 2 of 12 spots in my garden for Kali Mist and I may add another two spots.

I find myself very forgeful high on Kali Mist, and I know it while I'm high and I don't care. Just now I'm keeping my dogs seperated because of an operation one had, the second dog got by me twice (under my desk - 3' wide hole) and I didn't notice for a half hour each time.

The smell and taste is a beautiful strong spice, I can smell it everytime I crack the jar, and I've had my nose broken a few times so I don't smell so good. But after a shower I can smell this stuff, very strong. After a 4 week hang/bag/cure vaporizing gives an incredibly smooth vapor, very thick Volcano bags with 1/3 level teaspoon.

This isn't a trippy or a knock out of reality high but it's very stong. I've read it described as a cutting high, right through other strains and moods, and I agree.

.

Spectrums of experience

Onset: fast effect or creeper. 1 fast/5 slow: 2

I've just taken 3 hits and can feel a tingle everywhere and pressure in the top of my head and ears.

.

1. Up (stimulating) and Down (sedative):
Neither.

Liven the disposition and stimulate the emotions: encourages a love of existance.
Inspiring sociability and talkativeness: You could stand just about anybody on this high.
Sedative and depressant effects: Chill but not sedative. If you want to do things you can, but you have to make a small initial effort to overcome inertia.

.

2. Head High / Body Stone: mostly head.

Energizing: Not energizing but not couch lock.
Motivating: Frees inhibition but there is inertia to overcome.
Couch lock: No, see above.

.

3. Tolerance: ability to provide the same experience via the same amount over time – the burnout factor. "Over time" means the long run: months, years, decades...

I've been vaping Kali Mist for 4 or 5 months and the high seems to be getting better, probably because I'm getting better at growing and curing it, but the high is better 4 months later. No chasing the Dragon.

.

4. Ceiling: How high (of far) one is capable of going with the variety. How many hits can be consumed until more hits are unnoticeable.

I notice a ceiling, but it takes a few Volcano bags.

.

5. Emotional State

Anxiety: melts anxiety, nothing is wrong.
Euphoria: not so much euphoria as bliss.
Calm: very calming
paranoia: reduces or eliminates paranoia.

.

6. Body - medicinal effects

Nausea: mild help
Pain: fair help
Seizures: not known
Back: fair help

.

7. Head - medicinal effects

Depression:
works like a dreamy opiate
Mania: calming
Anxiety: good help
Antisocial: you could tolerate anyone high on this strain.
Anger: calming.
Rage: From first hand experience, this strain has saved some lives. Medicinal help.

.

8. Duration short 1 2 3 4 5 long:
3

Two consecutive Volcano bags will last two hours.

.

9. Potency: weak 1 2 3 4 5 strong:
4. Hit's hard but not time loosing nor reality knocking out of. Cutting dreamy high.

.

10. Taste: SPICE

.

Overall just a great strain, if you've got room for a 14 week sativa and want a dreamy high I couldn't recomend Serious Kali Mist higher.

Sounds like what I`m searching for. Thanks, Hobbes! It`s really interesting to read Your experience.
There is just one problem - I`m not experienced yet, to grow sativas. My third grow I want to do with more attention, because two previous grows failed, thats why I`m picking up information every day.

"I`m not experienced yet, to grow sativas"

Kali Mist is a very easy strain to grow: top twice, veg to 16" and you'll have a 36"- 42" plant (in pro mix, in hydro nine or ten feet). Use a tomato cage in flower to keep the stems up, 5 gallon bucket, pro mix, use 1/2 Fox Farm recommended nutes every watering - don't skip a feeding every second watering, check your nutes ph before watering. Very resilient strain, but I know what you mean about wanting a grow to work for sure. And KM takes a long time to flower. If you grow Kali Mist it would be a good idea to have a work horse strain in your garden to keep you supplied. (see the next strain)

.

Take a look at Dr Greenthumb's Endless Sky - 6 weeks flower, potent heavy indica stone, 500 g/m2 sog. Easy and quick, not enough time to accumulate problems. May be too sedative for meditation but it's a good strain to get some great bud from.

.

Another strain that might be good for meditation is Serious Bubblegum (sativa version). Mine is a clear, floating euphoric high. Clear headed enough to focus and meditate. It gives an "everything is good" high rather than Kali Mist's "it doesn't matter how everything is, all is bliss" high. Amazing taste, close your eyes and inhale vapor softly through your mouth and nose at the same time - Bubblegum and icing sugar. You could look at TH Seeds for an indica version, very well reviewed. There are a few good Bubblegum crosses out there too.

Serious Bubblegum is one of the easiest strains to grow, very stable and uniform. Plants from seed look like clones. Here's a review, I won't clog cup your thread with another one.

Flo by DJ Short is a motivating high, one that you can get a lot of work done while high. Not energizing bunny motivating, just obsticles no longer exist between you and doing what you want to accomplish. This would be a great strain to look at. Musky grape, 8 weeks flower for my pheno.

Sometimes Flo feels like wanting to be someplace and, at the same time, in your mind you are already there and you're pulled towards that place as if by magnets so reality and idea become one. If you were Ironman of course. This is why they call Flo a "unique motivating high", it's different than other stimulating strains that give you the energy to get things done.

I'm thinking TGA's Pandora's box would be a great meditative strain. Never smoked it myself, but anything that makes you grin like a Cheshire cat can't be bad.

I`m planning to try a perpetual growing. Start with seeds, take clones as mother plants, sex plants, taken from seed, and go on with clones. Basicly I want to start flower the clones, when they show first signs of growth, to keep the height of plants low. And when I`m gonna be enough sure with my skills, gonna tryout more sativa strains.
I want to grow all kind of strains - with short flowering period, something before a sleep, for a daytime smoke, few tasty strains just for my taste-buds, something very potent and for meditation.
I`m living in a flat and waitin` the day, when my house will be finished, to move in and start growin`.

And the effect of Flo sounds, what I need in this moment, because I have problems with motivation, to do things I want, to realize ideas in life, not only in my mind.
I regret trhat I didn try out bubblegum, when I was in Amsterdam, if it tastes like a real bubblegum, that would be a great smoke after dinner.
"work horse strain" - yeah, that sounds great, it`s useful, to have a horse to ride from one harvest to another.

I had a weird experience, when I was walking home at night by sea last friday - I first time saw hallucinations on weed. Yeah, when you relax and stare at some object for long time, you star to see things, i`ve experienced that alot, but hallucinations never.
It was dark, but I saw everything and didn`t stumble, felt ground as a machine, not a human. Then i started to see shadows, everything went from red to yellow color, I heard steps around me. I just went and stared at them, trying to understand, what does it mean. I felt like I was looking into my future - it was lonely.

I always liked to go to beach, smoke and meditate, but I never thought something like this could happen.

Hobbes, vaporizing is Your favourite way to inhale ganja?

Absolutely. I just got a Purple Day's in the mail last night and I'm using it now. Great direct draw, much easier to use than the Silver Surfer, I find the vapor easier on the lungs that the Volcano. I have a hard time with smoke and my stomach, vaporizing makes life a lot easier.

DSN if you need short plants check out CCOB growing, I've got some pics in my thread. The bottom of this page (p. 12) has a series of pictures of CCOB from vertical in veg to harvest.

https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/211186-pics-my-garden-ssd-km-12.html

Kali Mist grown 3 ways:

Hydro single cola and pro mix double topped

The 4 cola was vegged in promix to 14" and ended up 38". Very dense buds. The single cola is the DWC, fluffy buds but crusty with trichs, from 5" in veg to 47". On the 4 cola plant, the stem in the middle - you can see the dark green bamboo stick I used as a splint. The colas are dense and heavy and two of the stems almost snapped.

.

CCOB

Kali Mist on the left, a runt Bubblegum on the right. The Kali has about 6 weeks left and the Bubblegum 3. The KM was grown single stem and vegged in a 6" pot, the Bubblegum topped once and vegged in a 20 oz cup - it shows how important root growth is. The CCOB plant below will out produce either of the plants above.
