Hey guys,

Having decided on my DIY LED setup with 4x CXB3590 80 CRI + 2X M.Well 120H 1050mA drivers, which should give me something like 300w. What is the best temp for flowering the ladies? Can this setup better the results of my HPS 400w?

Cheers!

I saw @Greengenes707 videos and he flowers under a small 3000k light and a big freakin' 600W 4000k.

I am going to use just 4 chips so, not much room for mixing colours. Although I Am Thinking seriously about mounting those cobs in a row... since my plants stay in a3.4 ft by 2.5 ft configuration. A small row of plants.

Am I wrong about the numbers I hope to achieve above?
Meaning Watts Drivers and so on...
I'd say you're on the right path. As to which cct is up to par is still the topic of debate.

Basically anything between 3000k and 4000k will do the job.

Some people prefer the 3000k for the higher photon count and/or for the extra portion of red photons.

Others prefer the 4000k for its raw efficiency and\or for its higher ration of blue photons.

3500k is nestled in the middle and some people dig that.

Hard to say which is 'best' at the moment. Since what's 'best' varies from person to person.

Thanks for the time @bicit ... I guess i will go with 3000k or 3500k if Jerry has them...
I am getting my things from Jerry and found a nice place here in Brazil who makes great heatsinks. So I don't have to import that... Ohhh... relief.

Can I place my cobs on a 3mm aluminium plate and then bolt it onto my heatsink with a layer of silver thermal paste? I am looking for a passive solution. Maybe using cxb3590 passively can be a bit of a stretch when driving 4 of them @ 1050mA. What do the Gods say? @SupraSPL @Greengenes707 @REALSTYLES @Doer ?

So what size should my heat sinks have to dissipate this heat passively if possible? I can bolt two profiles of 8,5" by 35" onto a 3mm aluminum plate. 35" by 17"? Do I still need a fan?

My setup is almost the same as @DoctorDelta9, only my plants are arranged on a 3.4ftX2.5ft row. I have two rows, so I will build two lamps. By the way, what BINS you have of these CXBs? And what BINS should I bother Jerry with?

What do you guys think?

I am sorry if I misspelled something along the way. I still don't have the full domain to write on your beautiful language properly.

Cheers.
