hahhahahaha, wasn't intentional...the guy asked for a cheap, easy method and you told him he had to spend as much as a car.

My trichromes turn from clear, to cloudy, to amber. They don't turn back. I know I am doing something wrong to make that happen, but I just can't invest the thousands upon thousands of dollars it would take to get to your level.

OP, ISO is cheap and easy. 99% alcohol evaporates at room temperature, let that shit sit out for a week if you are nervous. No, you don't have to use heat, it just makes it a little faster.

I cant afford that equipment either. its not my equipment. Its actually one of my friends. i don't know how he even got it. I just help / work with him because he gets so much overhead. I'm the only one he knows well enough to trust me working with him. My own I just make bubble. still cost around $500 - $600 for everythingto make bubble. In the first post I said stick with icewax / hash.

99% iso does evaporate quickly on its own. A lot gets trapped in the extract. whipping it traps it more. Hence purging.

he makes bho for other people and so do I. I do half the work. I grow and he doesn't. We get a percentage. We go through about 5lbs a trim a week. I even said in an earlier post I work with a bho maker for Socal seeds and a couple collectives.

I'm an organic head so everything I do with my own grow is as clean and natural as possible. Regardless of whose it is. We are the ones who make it. We are not outsourcing the work.

The hash and ice wax I make myself with my own trim and the collectives trim too.


Frenchy and Matt Rize are famous hash makers. Most of the hash they make is for other growers.


the matter here isn't about who owns the product but how its made

I personally do not like shatter but it is what the people want, you can do this for 500dollars that is a cheap fucking car...

I guess I thought the water bath didn't transfer all the heat into the product....hence the water bath. If I tell you that the knob is set at 210, will you sleep better? It is a $15 electric frying pan, so I didn't think it was spot on, but it might be.

You can do what you will with this chart. I used it to determine that I should take my mixture off to cool every 20 minutes or so.

You can call me a dick after talking shit if you would like, a lot of people do that so they can act defensive when someone does something other than just lay there.

a vacuum oven alone costs $1800. 190 proof alcohol is $300 for a gallon or $500 for a case of everclear. The cheapest closed loop system is $2500

First of why would you use a hot water bath for an iso run? Any heat at all is gonna darken your extract up. Quick washes with absolutely no heat is imo the only way to get a golden iso extract. Second of all why post a pic on a website if you dont want people to comment on it?
If your extract looked good the same people offering criticsm would be offering compliments

If I understand well you are all avoiding decarboxylation but when you smoke an extract on a nail there is NO decarb happening only an instant combustion.
A non activated extract, doesn't matter how pure, is a waste of cannabinoids, please correct me if I am wrong.

@ frenchy an activated extract is only necessary when ingesting it to get the cannibanoids to cross the blood brain barrier.

I just finished my first grow and made bubble. It was super easy and when I was done with that I made butter with the washed trim. Both came out great

You got it wrong my friend, you need to decarb when you smoke so that it pass through the blood barrier of your lungs. On the other hand when you ingest, the cannabinoids are transformed by the liver so that you actually have technically no need to decarb.

Oral doses are processed by the liver before entering the bloodstream, oral THC produces high levels of the metabolite 11-hydroxy-THC, while smoked marijuana does not. Check it up!
The decarb will alter and modulate the effects of ingested cannabinoids but is not mandatory.
I have been eating cannabis resin and bang in the raw form on a regular basis for a very long time and I swear it is potent, very much so actually.

When decarbed. The thca converts to thc.

I understand your position Lio since I have been a lone voice on the subject for a while. I have not seen any scientific report showing the need for decarb when processed by the liver. The fact that ingested cannabinoids has stronger and different effects than smoked is a clear indication of the difference.
