Hi guys

I have had one of my tents out of action stored away at the mother in laws place for the past year or so.

I have just gone and got it and its got bits of mold starting to gather on some parts of the outside of the tent.

What would any of you recommend to use to kill any mold or bugs that may be growing on the tent ?

i have so far filled the bath/tub up with warm water and added a cup of bleach and have started soaking it its a 2x2x2 tent so quite large.

Cheers need help !

I would clean it the same way you clean a camping tent. Take it out, set it up, hose it down, wash it with a mixture of Clorox and water (one cup Clorox in a bucket of water will do), rinse thoroughly, repeat at least once, let dry completely then bring it back in and you're done.

Use bio- products (organic) there are many and the safest
DO NOT EVER use an organic cleaner to get rid of mold. Use bleach. Organic compounds left behind will actually feed mold spores and help them grow the moment they get a bit of warmth and humidity. Bleach kills them, and even if it doesn't kill the spore outright, it will kill it the instant the spore tries to go active.

1 part bleach 10 parts water

The soak you are giving it will surely kill everything sterile if you used enough bleach, just be sure to open it right up and air dry it well before use

Ive soaked it over night in the tub with 1 part bleach then hanged it on the clothes line outside in the sun and washed it down with plain water then re scrubbed it with bleach and washed down again with water and now hanging in the sun drying. Lets hope its killed that mold and any other infestations that may have been growing on the tent.

Will be doing a DWC 8 pot 10L grow of Gorilla glue and LSD #25 under 2x 600 watt hps scrogged hoping for some good numbers yeild wise with this setup wish me luck !
