best way to retain bud density after drying?

Hey guys my girls are about 2-3 weeks from harvest and I'm a lil concerned. My last grow in the Spring I grew MK but the buds looked nice on the plant and then dried to a real fluffy density....is there a way to make sure this doesn't happen...

I think I either
A. Harvested to early
B. Didn't feed enough
C. Didn't dry slow enough

Thanks for the help, here are my girls now...Sour OG

I don't see how drying will effect it. If it has the density on the plant then it'll still be there after the dry, right? The only thing I've heard effecting density was lighting choice. But I see yours are outside so I have no idea. I'd love to hear this one myself.

use molasses it helps harden your buds up during flowering, I used to use gravity until I found it had carcinogens in it. I also would either guess that you had harvested to early or your plants were stressed out on that last harvest, any stress will hinder the bud development and can give you fluffy nugs. I don't think dying affects density more or less how the smoke comes out....more harsh or smooth depending on how and where you dry your buds. You got to remember that it's strain specific too, some nugs will be a little fluffier then others but if your seeing a finished product that's super airy then I'm gonna say stress or you harvested to early.

Most of it's genetics and light intensity, but if those pics were taken at harvest I would say that you could have let them go longer.

We don't dry we cure now I'll read. What's MK? Where were temps? I know your outside still matters. Your right a little more time, food, and a proper cure. Jars tubs help a lot.
