the prices you guys are talking about are crazy, of course im in Nor Cal, I am the main grower in a 10 person indoor collective in a very liberal county, all completely legal, several varities, including PK and OG, and its real good, we have several aero systems, which grow fast, but we keep the plants small. we have all of our members legally protected with legal contracts that are recognized by the local DA. It is a full time job for me, we sell mostly just to dispensaries, Anyone can grow a great strain, but the grower is what makes it great, there is a lot of competition, airy/small buds dont get bought, all the local growers here grow great bud and only get about $3k a pound, or $200 oz, there is so many collectives and dispensaires in cali, that $200 an oz is the street price, and its gettin cheaper. after we have paid the bills, given the members their share, there really isnt much $ left. although we would like to make more, its just not fesable. We know others in our same boat who are willing to transport across state line, and they are making about 2-3X more than us, they will also go to prison if they get caught.
I dont know if there is a strain that will make you the most weed/$, but if there is I want to grow it, if the genetics/quality is of the highest standard, and even then it will just be the same price, but this may all go away in Nov for us in Cali, when it becomes legal, which is bad for me but its the right thing to do.,
so all though it may be mis-directed, what is your opinion, on the best high quality producer? anyone try big bud?
