:joint:im building a 12x12 shed. it would be split in half. and have 2 veg rooms 6x6 and 1 flower room a 6x12. im gonna use t5's in one of the veg rooms and a 600MH for the other. heres my problem for the oblong flower room should i go with one 600HPS on a 6-8 ft motorized light rail or two six hundreds (i really dont want to go anything over 600 watts) and any comments from anyone with advice or who's used the light rails would be wonderful.:spew:

i used light rails, and they do help but not the same a 2x llights. if you can two or three 600w lights that would be good. more light more better, i would put 2k w in that space if your gona fill it up.

a 1000 watt should cover a 5x5 space so if you was going to do a 6x12 i would get 2 1000 watt

you will need room to walk in 2 X 12 which leaves you with 4 X 12 grow area . 600W bulbs are good for a 4 X 4 area so three 600W lights hung in a line to make ductwork easier is your best option. still if you have the money and are not worried about heat and electricity consumption more light is almost always better. good luck whatever you choose.

also the three bulbs for three 4x4 sections would work nicely for a 3 week perpetual harvest which i assume you are shooting for with the two veg rooms and one big flower room. each light could be raised or lowered so that the latest cycle of plants would still be as close to the lights as the older ones. maybe I'm way off base here if so I'm sorry

hello there bob220 drywall was pretty much right the ? is electricity consumption ? 3 600 will burn a nice little hole in your pocket however if this is not a problem i would consider this, 3 600 cooled directly ( hoods or tubes ) which means you can keep lights closer ( more light ) and a light rail. the light rail is not that important with 3 lights in that space but i would def use one if you go with less lights. ps cool your lights direct from outside which should stop any heat issues. good luck man what ever you go with but one light in that space is no good you will end up with light no weight leggy buds have fun dude

ok heres what ive chosen. For lights im gonna use 2x1000 watt hortilux in the XXXL hood (for flowering) and the same hood and 1x1000watt mh for veg with an ebb and grow 2 1/2 gallon bucket system(not the five). For Co2 supplementation ive got a LP burner(4 burner). also 4 digital e-ballasts (240volt-5 amp) and all the fans and ducting, blowers ect. if i am missing anything let me know or if u have any comments please post
