Not trying to preach but 2 things...

1. Shouldn't grow at the parents because if you get caught depending on the state and the amount found they're the ones going to jail.

2. I know you will most likely disregard #1 so, if you're going to do it do it proper. Don't tell anyone, if you tell your best friend and he tells one person and then that person tells another it gets out pretty quick.

Also, I would suggest looking into rubbermaid setups as totes can be purchased for $3-5 as a casing and have a low profile. Then you can fit soil lights and all in there. Considering what you did here DO NOT GO styrofoam- the other guy has a basic electrical/electronics understanding and some common sense: no offence but I kind of wonder after this for you. Principles are the same just w/ rubbermaid storage totes. Learn about LST and do it often, my guess is you're going to use bagseed so you definitely need to control height. Bushmaster is a good product to buy to do this also.

I would have to agree with potlike i know you will probally still grow even if you are living with your parents. Although if your living with your parents and growing you probally won't get caught by authorities, but instead your parents(if your like me that would be much worse than getting caught by police) so take many precautions like me to keep it hidden from parents. Also the police would probally just give you a warning if your growing with your parents because you'll have like 1 plant.

I feel you man that has never happend to me because I dont live with my parents but I WILL NOT SHIT ON YOU FOR THAT. Growing is awesome so many good things come out of it and no one should be shitting on you for trying but my advice is just read read read read read read read read lots of material online from hundreds of sites. SO that way next time you do it, it will actually work. BUt also you might want to find some where else to grow because your parents are not gonna think highly of you or trust you. YOU FEEL ME! sorry though man.
