Bird Of Paradise

whent to the garden center to buy stuff for the garden, and we got to the seed section. and every year i hide about 30 packets of seeds . flowers. and hide the packets inbetween the compost. so we dont have to pay.
anyway i always pick the most exp. and i picked up some bird of paradise, seeds 10. they were the most exp. seeds in the shop. anway i brung them home, and tryed to germ.
i had to soak then pull of this orange thing off the seed.
and wait 6 months to germ.
2 out of 10 are now growing.
there about 7" and two years old.
has anyone ever grown bird of paradise before.
and if so, what are the like. how tall ect.

hasnt anyone ever grown.b.o.p. before, i no nothing about the plant,in its younger 2 years. i took 7 months to germ. and its took nearly two years to grt about 7 1/2 ".
i dont think i would have survived the english winter, would it?. ive got it in the kitchen window.

It is a tropical plant, that could take up to 5 years to see the first flower.

i thought as much, its a slow starter, if its awt like my cannabis plants. it will be more like 10 years.lol

Are we to understand you stole the seeds? That is precisely why prices are as high as they are. We get pissed off when thieves steal our herb. I hope I'm not coming down too hard. But, JESUS! I hope to Bud you were joking.

Re-read my entry please. When I wrote 'herb' I meant our own crops. I was not referring to the stolen seeds at all.

'Dickhead' is high praise coming from a shoplifter.

i took a pack of seeds from a over priced garden center. not anything bad.
if you were in the supermarket and they forgot to charge you. what would you do. im not a thief, well i dont think so. sorry i wont go to heaven.

these garden centers are so exp. i go all the time for my job,somtimes,and the things there, are very over priced.
im sorry, but i dont steal, i just for get to pay, if i have to i will, if the person can be bothered to look what im buying. thats not stealing to me. just luck. like i said im 33 not 15, and shouldnt be bragging about childish things. merry xmas.

its to true . these shops charge massive prices,for nothing, and people walk round like sheep buying shit, just for a day out to the garden center.
they charge£20 for a connifer or shurb that would cost £3 or £4 pounds anywere else, but somtimes anywere else dont have shit, when you need them, say for a job.
i normally charge the garden center prices when i do a land scape, for people with money, and use my own cuttings ect,if i can or just go to the cheaper places if i can. and charge for the garden center prices, like i say only to people that have plenty£$£$£$.
so the expensive garden centers are good for somthing.
