I think today being the fourth day in 12/12 i can tell the sex of all the plants
i know it is rather early but they mostly had preflowers so i thought they would show pretty fast

all three Chernobyl are showing white pistil hairs forming at nodes and such and minute trichomes on the upper leaves if i look at angle :) that's always a nice sign this early

two Sin Mint Cookies are doing the same, and the other two are showing what looks like typical male lobster claw/ grape cluster looking things none even close to opening they are very small thank fully

and of course my LA og clone is a girl :) wonder how she may turn out

so that gives me 6 girls! i was shooting for four of them, so i might give away a couple or choose favorites and re-veg a few girls while they still haven't started fully budding and it won't cause too much stress.

i had this idea because i just got the four foot t-5 so maybe ill put a big momma at each end, clone them both in case they show stellar traits later on :)

last time that i did 6 in this space the fans and upper colas shaded all the lower growth

and i got a bunch of insanely frosty popcorn made great hash
but I'd rather not have so much of that so ill try less plants and cleaning up lowers heavily after the stretch is finished :)

decisions, decisions hmm...

what do you guys think if anyone's watching the journal????
any advice or recommendations are greatly welcomed :)

i will post some pictures probably in the next few days of the females :)

hope everything comes out nice, so far things are looking that way

stay cool if your in southern California like me it is hot, hot, hot man!
gotta re cover my air cooled hood its hitting low to upper 80s mid-day inside..

for veg, i added a small fan to try to keep temps down still seems real warm when i walk in my bedroom but they look good so far just minor signs of heat stress

here are the two sin mint cookie males

a couple pics of pollen sacs forming on them

one looks like the blue power i grew last season ,
and the other looks a lot like the forum cookie cut i grew a while back

if i had more space i'd cross them to something they are so healthy

look like good males to use :)

females 12/12 light still is off ,

i will get pics of them later today or tomorrow as time allows

hope the girls will be well I'm gonna water them last day before my trip up to Santa Clara and San Francisco :)

gonna go to the 50th anniversary grateful dead show and keep on truckin up to San Francisco from the 27th until the 4th !

i should be back soon enough so the girls should only be a little bit thirsty by the time i return, i haven't needed to water as often since i flipped to 12/12 it hasn't been as scorching hot thankfully :)
and the humidity outside went up a little too

so all those factors shall help me i will only be maybe a day or day and a half late on watering them which might not be too bad

also update for today, June 25, 2015 :

small bud sites of white hairs forming on the Chernobyl , Sin Mint Cookies, and the LA og clone

and some trichomes on those bud sites are starting to come in a little :) makes me really happy as it has only been 9 days since the flip to 12/12

usually my plants take two or three weeks of stretching before
showing some of this progress, :)

is it signs of good to come?
i hope so ! but it is early to tell, have a good day fellow RIU growers!

also forgot in yesterday's update: i raised the light to 14" above the tallest chernobyl, hope that is good from the shortest plant , it is about 22" but once the stretch is done ill drop it down as low as i can without heat stress

i also cleaned up the bottom 1/3 of the plant for larfy popcorn budsites, fan leaves not getting hit by the light at all, places where hermi's are usually found like fully shaded viney small secondary growth, and those little spots that overlap a normal size fan and small pop corn site i always get PM there in late flower so i'm really trying to prevent that this time :)

well wish me luck brothers

Update for 7/2/2015:

the Chernobyl are pretty nice and big :) they grew at least 4 to 6 inches while i was gone,

same with one of the sin mint cookies, also the LA og , one Chernobyl ,and one sin mint cookies are close in height but shorter than the ones that stretched up :) ill try to even the canopy a lil by gently bending the tall tops

the bud sites started multiplying hairs a lot ,

and are looking not too bad :)

the plants were droopy when i returned, but i watered them all today and they seem to have perked up and have praying leaves around all their bud sites haha looks awesome

also unfortunately on the plants close to the walls of the tent on lower fans i have some spots of PM , like usual with this tent, will try to manage it like usual and hope it doesn't destroy my crop!

wish me luck again, i could use it !!
