Hello, Everyone!
I've been on this site for a loong time just reading n learning and the time to put the education to use is on the horizon =)

I am in the finishing stages of Blue-Adept's design for a stealthy rubbermaid grow box. The link is below:

https://www.ICMAG.com/ic/showthread.php?t=100698

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for a system like this?
My current plan is a 4-5 site bubbleponic system with a SCROG. Would I be better off focusing on 2-3 plants in such a narrow area? Or, in a different direction, would a 5 site SOG be more productive?

I would like to pack at least one near pure sativa in there. I was thinking of a vertical SCROG along the side but am not sure if that would be feasible with CFLs..
If anyone has any experience with strains suitable to this system please let me know.

This is my first grow, and I will be very grateful for any input.
Pictures coming soon :) stay irie

That's the first time other than mine I seen them stacked normal, his light box is real nice. I wish I would have painted mine instead of the long ass time it took me to tape and then patch taping the light light leaks

Yeah I was very impressed with his design a few years ago but didn't have the funds.
The light box was the most time consuming part. When I make a similar style mother/clone box, ill be investing in corner vice grips..should make the job much easier.

It's a beautiful design but space is REALLY limited so ill be getting creative with it :)
Any advice you can give me from your experience will be appreciated

It's gets hot in there!!! But if your doing a light box like his you should be good. Is his lights adjustable? I don't think they were. That's why I made a little jig thing in mine so I could adjust the lights easily instead of raising and lowering the plants. I actually think I'm going to rework my lights to something kinda similar to reduce my heat.

Hey man,

You'll need a thermometer for sure if you don't have one already. I recently bought one for my grow and It just saved my ass... I had temperatures up to 100fh and now have a constant 78-82.

CFL's get a lot hotter than you'd expect, as I found out!

Hey, just checking in everyone. This thread isnt dead, Im just waiting on my lights and adding some finishing touches to the box. Once its up and running ill include photos =]

Update: I plan on using Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice: Micro, Grow, Bloom line with Big Bud during flowering.

Also, Ill be starting with clones from a local dispensary. I was going to invest in good genetics but, being my first grow and all, I wanted to get a feel for it before I dropped $$ on that. Lord knows the tools/supplies for that box + nutes cost enough lol.

Any opinions on those nutrients and their use in a Bubbleponics system would be greatly appreciated!!

Show some progress photos. I love those pics more than the plant pics.

P.S. I took his light box idea for my cab I'm building :)

ill put some up tonight once im done. IM stuck on attaching the PC power supply to the piece of wood. I dont want it just sitting there and Id rather not open up the power supply itself to mount it, but I might have to.

His light idea is by far the best part of the entire box. Do you have any progress pictures?

HOPEFULLY i have some photo love for yall tonight. I want to have this box 100% done dammit...hard to do with school plus 2 jobs

I'm going to try and build a small 37 gal Rubbermaid Mother/Cloning chamber using "Bonzai Pots" (i still have to do a lot of research on this one), and this mini cloner below:
https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/103903-best-diy-ez-walmart-dwc.html

its going to be a modified version of Blue-Adepts light box. The difference being I will try to streamline all the venting systems onto one level. My light space will be smaller but I should be able to fit the same amount of bulbs (12) at 26w 6500k. Just a teaser for whats to come!

not a good description but the youll see

Yea I'm going to post some in a couple days. If you don't want to open the ps strap it down.
Low budget:duct tape (don't block air flow). Speaker wire and screws is a cheap strap. Hit up Home Depot/lowes and get that aluminum metal strap that u can bend and some screws.

Take your time and finish it exactly how you want it, your going to be using it for awhile. I wish I seen his before I made mine. I lined my tubs several years ago and it wasn't a good time to grow. I made my rig a couple weeks before you posted your link. I love it, but I will update it once my cab is done.... I've got plans lol

strapping it down was the answer thank you so much for that I was racking my brain for a whole blunt.
I ended up using a strip of extra sheet metal. Not the fanciest but the power supply isnt going anywhere.
