Blue berry help (pics)

Damn this BB. I cant seem to figure this out. As you can see all my other mother strands are doing well. White widow, mr nice, ak 47, romulan (sp) are loving life but my blue berry is hating life. For starters I can only get 3 leaves out of her. Her stem was looking real purple and I assumed it was a lack of nitrogen. So I added some bloodmeal and now I have some ugly growth. Its deformed and twist and looks like the texture of the leaf is bubbley. The plant seems to like it better away from the light compared to the others. Seems like a softer texture away.

I use the 2 part Envy and bcuzz growth. I try to feed them at around 800 ppm, less than 1000 atleast. For now. I feed at around 6.2-6.5 ph. Next I am going to purchase a soil ph tester. I am thinking that the blood meal may have taken the ph too far down. Or I used too much. I cup per plant but my pot is a gallon I believe. I prolly screwed up and used too much. Im a noob at this dirt thing. I have heard lots of bad things about BB. That its hard to grow. Anyone have any sugestions? I know I need bigger pots but besides that? lol

Hey now, don't cuss the blueberry! She's an absolutely beautiful strain! (and DJ is rightfully proud of her)

She's about 90 percent indica, but still grows tall and lanky. The buds are some tight nugs that have the best buzz around. So don't give up on her.

First of all, your problem is not that bad. One gallon pots are fine for mothers, if the plant is kept small. Maybe that plant had a reaction to the added bloodmeal, (you're supposed to mix that stuff before you add the plant) so a good flushing should help.

You're adding too much nutes. With the organic amendments to the soil, you should need only small amounts of nutes. 800 ppm of organic nutrient soup is prolly not what you think it is, organic nutrients have less conductivity than chemical nutes. And besides, these are mothers, they don't need large amounts of nutes to do their job. Your nute pH is fine.

Is that a sodium-colored hue on your plants? It just doesn't look like a white light, which is what you want for mothers.

No its a Mh light. Its a daylux. It has a lot of red in it. Damn near looks like an hps. Seems to work well though. I borrowed the bulb from a friend. I will probably get a regular mh soon.

Thanks for the imput Potroast. I will have to try the flush. The blood meal is really the only thing I have done to it differently from the other plants. Whats up with the purple stems? Is this how its supposed to act? They where purple before I added the meal.

The mix I use at 1000 ppm is 1.6 ec. I dont know how that compares to other solutions. I really dont know what the ec should be. I have never really worried about it. Could you enlighten me some?

Oh, an enhanced spectrum halide, kewl, I've never seen one of those. For a halide, I just buy the bulb at casa de pot, the 400w are about 25 bux. It's a straight spectrum, but for that price I can change them often.

The blueberry has different colors to her. Several strains have naturally purple stems, though some people think it's a phosphorous deficiency. Just wait until late flowering when the leaves turn blue!

What I meant about your nutes are that you are giving them too strong a mix. Cut back on the strength. There are nutes in the soil already, let them use that.

For instance, I grow in inert media (no nutes in it) and using chemical ferts, I give my mothers a 400 ppm soup.

Ok I decided to go ahead and flush all my moms. I put about 5-6 gallons of water through each one. It already looks like they are doing better. I will take another pic next week to show the results. Thanks again Potroast!

blueberry is supposed to have only 8 hours of light the last 2 weeks.

I don't know where you got that, but I've not found that to be true. I've grown Blueberry 5-6 crops and always use 12/12 for flowering.

Actually, providing plants with fewer hours of daylight than 12 during flowering will cause the plant to be less potent.

Rob Clarke sez in Marijuana Botany:
Research has shown (Valle et al. 1978) that twice as much THC is produced under a 12-hour photoperiod than under a 10-hour photoperiod.

Hmmm My bluberry looks the same way in soil and in aero. The clones have that ugly wrinkled look and only 3 leaves also except the lower leaves seem to be 5 pointers. Im not giving any nutes to my plants so cant be a nute issue.Did you get the 3 leaves to grow more points yet??You can look at these in the picture there are 7 blueberry in there with some sweet purple. All the BB should be easy to see as they look thinner and ugly while the sweet purple are thick and full (look for 3 leaves) lol

Blueberry is a great strain. But The Pheno still will give you the mutated blueberry crinkled growth ,weird leaves ect.Usually for me 10 seeds I will get 5 good blueberry and the other 5 are the weird growth ones. Its normal for this strain. The mutated ones never give a good yeild. But the good ones WOW!... D.J. Short i are the best seeds if you can get your hands on his B.B. seeds you'll have better luck and better plants.

Hi everyone...This is my first year of growing outdoors.....I got two plants from a friend he told me it was blueberry....as I look at pic of pot...I think mine may be a blueberry-white widow.....I put the plants in late it was about the end of June..I live in up state New York...and it getting late in the season.....and I don't know what the next step is.....I have one growing in the woods..it gets about 8 hours of full sun light....the other is in a five gal container with 3-3inch wide hole in the bottom and buried about 2 inch in....it gets about 6 hours of full sun light.....I 'm not sure what everyone means when they say 12 hours of sun.....does that mean direct sun light...or just light....the buds seems to be growing go, however the look thin.....the plants started to flower about 4 weeks ago..I gave both of them some bud blast 9-03..I am trying to get some pic but my phone doesn't really take good pic....should I keep feed them....when should I pick them...how should I pick them.....please help....I don't want to ruin these plant.....they smell so nice....like fruity....

Hey guys,
ive been growing what i thought was blueberry for about 5 and a half wks now, ive just turned my plant on 12/12 and they have been on that light shedual for 1 week!! Iam growing in an NFT system which so far has been pretty much idiot proof. Ive used this place to iron out any probs ive had and all is well!
My only concern now is that i dont think that its blueberry anymore, the plants are very bushy and have filled my room up!! Where as i thought taht blue berry is a taller less bushy plant, they are loving there enviroment growing about an inch a day on adverage.

Iam using Aqua flakes A & B plus there root stimulator.

I have the water pump on a timer, when the lights are on its on for 15 min off for 30min. in the dark its only on for 15min every hour.

Can anyone advise me pls!!!!

Cheers
