BLUE CHEESE Hamburgers! 1st timer to eat!

3 CFL Lights 1X65 watts 6500K, 1X45 watts 6500K and 1X 45 watts 2700K. Total lumens 10,300! at .65 amps. Space is 0.72 Meters squared! Got 4 sweethearts in 3 pots!

Soil Ph just a bit over 7 and 02 ph level 6.5. They look great but my fan leaves are dying but top leaves are just fine! New growth every day! Half inch growth a day! I am concenered, as the the new leaves sprout, the fan leaves start to yellow and die!

Can Anyone help! Oh by the way strain is UK blue cheese bought as femenized seeds! They maybe about 19 days old! Soil is just genetic compost bought from store! (mistake) but, has nutrients and i am using superthrive and terra vegga once ever 3 waterings and a bit of epsom salt! Tap water out for 2 days and equalized with lemon juice!

Why are my fan leaves falling off? Please help as this is sad to me!

hmm I am having the same problem.. Top leaves are fine but bottom fan leaves are turning yellow and falling off ( very dry and flakey) temps / ec / ph are fine it's gotta be something funky w the soil ..

I think I over watered them! Got soil PH testser and it shows me that its really moist! Only water and superthrive for now! Will see what happens!

Do u have a soil Ph meter with a moist indicator?

Ok finally I can rest! I found out what the problem was! Over watering! The soil/compost I bought has these little balls that release water and nutrients whenever it gets dry!

So I have not watered them in almost 4 days and they look so much better! The soil Ph meter I Purchased shows the soil still being at 80% moist! Will wait another 4 days before watering again! I am at 3 weeks now and they are about 6 inches off! I am a very happy father!

Sorry to be Debbie Downer but two plants in one pot is never a good idea especially in pots that small. They will either both be small or one will totally dominate the other.

Hey yea it was nute burn and overwatering! Cause' of the soil! It's some sort of soil with little balls that release water and nutes when the soil gets dry!

So by watering, the little balls would explode and give off extra water and extra nutes! Thats why the fan leaves would turn yellow!

Question? How long should I wait till I put them in my other room which is 2 square metres? Will be changing to HID 400 watt light!

I see what you mean! One is bigger than the other so what should I do? Maybe seperate them? But how? if, thats possible? The reason I did that was because out of 5 seeds I reckoned only 3 would germinate and I only bought 3 pots! Is there a way around this?

You need to listen to this advice, else face problems later.

those ph/moisture soil testers from wilkos are absolutly terrible ... they are not accurate at all and only tell u the ph of the soil not the water , and always read moist even with the smallest amount of water !

from looking at your pics it may be too late to save both. Honestly if it was my grow I'd just sacrifice the smaller one if you know they're both feminized. Otherwise both will be shitty yields. You could try and save them by separating but run a very high probability of severely stunting growth if not killing both of them. Again, sorry to be the bearer of bad news man. Other than that, they look pretty damn good for what I'm assuming is one of your first runs. Best of luck!

Thanx will do that first thing tomorrow! Just learning as I go along! Didn't even know that this was gonna be a big problem! I will go ahead and try to seperate them! Hopefully the big one will survive!

How do I do that?

Be surgically careful when transplanting. If you're going to try and separate I would at least try and do minimal damage to the one you're going to leave in the pot and carefully with gardening tools dig out the one your going to move and put it in a nice moist medium in a new pot. Again, this may not work and you should focus on trying not to damage the one you're leaving in the original pot. If the one you move doesn't make it, at least you've saved the other. Better to fuck up the one you're moving than destroy both in the process. As I said above if I were you I'd just bite the bullet and kill the little one. FYI - the root systems are probably well intertwined at this point and spread deeper than you think. If you decide to just kill the smaller one cut it off at the base of the stem. The roots will die in a couple days and the other plant will thrive.

What if I transplant them in bigger pots thinking 10 gallon tank? U think it will help them?

Thanx I will do the sugery tomorrow! Thank you so much for the advise! Big Buddha come and help me save the smaller one! PLZ! I will have to buy a Buddha statue tomorrow for blessings! LOL!

I use 15 gallon pots on primarily autoflowers but do grow photo period plants from time to time. By the way - if your strain is a photo period strain don't worry about killing one of them, just let them veg out (lighting schedule set at least 18 + hours a day) then start taking clones from them and you'll have as many new plants as you want to make. There are plenty of threads on this board explaining exactly how to clone plants. Cheers!
