whats up, i harvested three plants today at about 9 weeks two of them were clones ov bluecheese and skunk#11 and one of them was from a seed i found in a bag of shwag , i might of harvested a little to early but fuck it. i vegged for a month and a couple weeks. i am very happy with the yield but my problem is, i had mites about 3 weeks ago and sprayed them with an organic pesticide i thought i got rid of them untill now, i found out that they were still there and now they are all crawling to the top of the cut stems and on one of the plants its major i can see tons of the little fuckers, i feel like shit b'cuz i finally grew some killa plants and they have fucking spiders all over the buds. Im not looking forward to smoking them cuz it will probly taste like barbecue chicken:spew: My question: is there anything i could do to get rid of the little FUCKERS:confused:

enjoy the pics anyway...:leaf:

well thanks for the advice everyone. i would watercure but its humid kinda humid where i live so they might get moldy, so ive just decided to sell the plant that was really infected(the bagseed) and just dry and cure the other bud and when its ready ill use compressed air to blow all the buds hopefully it will get rid of most of tha little bastards! the blu cheese is from laughing buddha. i am hoping for a about 2/3 ounces per plant... heres a couple more pics for ya ;-)

oh and the bluecheese smells delicious, cheesey with just a hint of blueberryy. the skunk#11 smells hella skunky and a lil bit sour...:bigjoint:

here's another thing you might try...
get about 5-6 cig butts, soak them in a cup of water for a few hrs...
use a coffee filter (or whatever filter, paper towel...) and strain the liquid into a sprayer,
the hand sprayer, and spray those buds with the nicotine juice...but don't soak em...just spray
the mites...
normally, you wouldn't want to spray nicotine straight onto weed, it's poison to marijuana, but since the weed
is technically dead already, it won't hurt your buds.
I don't know the effect it will have on bud flavor, which is why I say to spray lightly, and only the mites...
however, the cure should remove any nicotine stuff...
good luck.

P.S. I don't think the humidity would be a factor in water curing as the weed is already soaked through and
through! just gotta drain it once a day/twice, then dry it after the cure...you gotta dry one way or the other.
also, I don't know any regular bugs that can live underwater for a week...regular bugs, not water bugs...so...

My question is would the spider mites really stay on the bud once it dries out? Wouldn't they go looking for a live plant to feed of off. I have a feeling they wouldn't want anything to do with a dead plant. They need a live plant to feed off of from what I can gather. They rupture the leaf cell and feed off of the sap from the cell. I think they might go away once your bud dries properly IMO.

Spider mites have a pair of needle-like structures called stylets, which are used to rupture leaf cells. A feeding spider mite pushes its mouth into the torn tissue and draws up cell sap. Small patches of cells are killed, resulting in a stippling or fine flecking on the upper surface of leaves, giving the leaves a "sandblasted" appearance. On heavily infested plants, the foliage will become bronzed, bleached, yellow, or gray. Untreated, such plants lose vigor, become progressively thinner, and may eventually die.

Try hanging a Shell no pest strip in there, it has always gotten rid of my mites and I don't have to put those Chems on my plants.

update: i managed too get the mites off the buds i hung them outside in my garage in very
cold temps for a couple days and all the spiders seemed too have left.
ive been curing in mason jars for about 3 days now but when i smoke the bud it doesnt
seem very potent and doesnt make me cough at all maybe i did harvest too early?

yo just dry your buds out by hanging them...... the little fuckers will die off or crawl off looking for an alternative....trust me i have had the same problem before....nothing to worry bout.....just trim- dry- and let chill then smoke....everyone over analyzes problems.....what would u do if you lost your job??? Move on to another one or try to get one.........you gotta think like the spiders.....hope this helps u.....high as hell by the way.....lol:-P:leaf:
